Manicure & Pedicure?

I've never had a manicure or pedicure. When getting a pedicure, do you have to have your nails without nail polish or what? What does a french manicure consist of? How long does a manicure or pedicure take? I want to get fake nails but I am afraid that the nails won't fit me since I'm skinny and have skinny hands, what do you think?Manicure %26amp; Pedicure?
A pedicure should take at least an hour. It will if you go to a reputable salon or day spa. The four main steps of a pedi are soak, scrub and callus treatment, mask and massage. These might vary from salon to salon. A manicure is about 30 minutes. And MAKE SURE their implements are sanitized before they begin. You can even ask what they use for a sanitizing product. (For example: barbicide which is a hospital grade disinfectant)


As for acrylic nails, if you go to a good salon, they should be able to work with whatever size nails you have. If not, go somewhere else. Please don't go to a mass production ';nails only'; place. A LOT of those places (not all, but a lot) use products that contain MMA. MMA is a chemical that is not good for you. It can do a lot of permanent damage to your nails. They can buy MMA containing products in bulk for really cheap so they don't have to charge much ($20-$30 a set) to still make a big profit. What ever you decide to get for services, make sure it is a clean, sanitized salon. And ASK QUESTIONS. A good nail tech. should be able to answer them. Good Luck!Manicure %26amp; Pedicure?

I have been getting my nails done for 4 years now. For a pedicure if you have nail polish on they will just take it off for you, then they soak your feet in this warm bathtub and rub lotions and other absolutely wonderful stuff on your feet and your calves. Then on a manicure they have nails of all sizes, my best friend has tiny nails and she had fake nails put on and they look so pretty. Definately go and have both done every girl deserves to be pampered.
