not at all. i like a man that can take care of his body
you are still in prison??????

i think FEVER bribed the police .....
No, I think that's accepted protocol.
not if his girlfriend is the one giving it to him.......in prison.
yes, it's //very// gay for a man to take care of him self! (oozing with sarcasm)
Um....only if they are dressed like you. LOL!
outside of prison no my boyfriend gets pedicures cause I dont want him tearing up the sheets inside prison yes cause the only other person to do it would be a guy and I think that is kinda weird
yes
no it's not gay... why can't a mans nails look good too. no one wants to see crusty nails on anyone... if a man doesn't take care of his nails then everyone is looking at him like he's a dirt ball, and when he does he's gay?? to me its just called personal hygiene... men or women just need to take care of themselves.
only if he enjoys it :P
Sure, if he wants to go to prison for one, more power to him...LMAO...
Yes I would think so
Only if you use PINK polish.
very gay
Its not gay, its just very metro-sexual. In prison...ick!
No,but you might get your butt whopped.
No!
depends, a guy may give the pedicure if out of prison, so what is the difference. depends on your flavor and your intent in or out of prison. If you have a ';feet'; fetish then yeah maybe its gay
haha... yeah, especially in prison
I think a man't nails looking good are as important as a womans. I would imagine that there are guys getting pedicures in prison, if they are offered that service.
yeah, it really is.

Is it true that if u get pedicures during pregnancy, they can put u into labor?

my cousin-in-law told me yesterday that there are pressure points in ur feet that can actually induce labor...

is this true?Is it true that if u get pedicures during pregnancy, they can put u into labor?
YES, it is true. I work in a day spa and one of our employees was pregnant but hadn't told anyone yet and got a pedi with a vigorous foot massage, felt crappy right after and ended up having a miscarriage a few days later.

Another on of our girls is due in 2 weeks and keeps getting people to work the preessure points on her feet to try and get labor going.

Pedicures are ok during pregnancy, but make sure you let them know them know that you are pregnant, especially in the first trimester, and that way they can avoid massaging the feet.Is it true that if u get pedicures during pregnancy, they can put u into labor?
Supposedly it's true. You just have to have it done by someone who knows the pressure points, and will focus on them. And your body has to be ready to go into labor as well, or nothing short of a medical induction would work (and of course, sometimes medical inductions don't even work).
I don't think so. I got pedicures throughout my second pregnancy and nothing like that happened.
Myth.
No...I had one and I'm still pregnant.

  • I got a pedicure, the french tips ..I hate feet, why do men like looking at womens feet?

How long have we known each other? Have I ever looked at your feet? no. I only look at your two large and lovely ... eyes.

Peace, babe!I got a pedicure, the french tips ..I hate feet, why do men like looking at womens feet?
Cos women`s feet are lovely!I got a pedicure, the french tips ..I hate feet, why do men like looking at womens feet?
If they are looking at the feet they must be gay. It sure isn't what I look at
I dont understand why girls are always saying I hate feet but yet you go to so much trouble and time and work all trying to make your feet look pretty. Now you must want people to notice and say wow you have gorgous feet. That way maybe you didnt waste all that time and money. Personally I think womens feet are amazing and I stare whenever I get the chance if they are pretty of course I like to stare because Im attracted to womens feet because they can be so gorgous like a face or breats, butt ect.
We spend some much time grovelling there that sometimes we just have to look.

May I kiss your feet Mistress?
Sweetheart, you're hanging out with the wrong guys. I don't think that I've EVER cared what a woman's feet looked like. As long as they don't stink, I ain't worried. My focus is on, err, other assets.
because womens feet smell good and are good looking but im not like that
Yeah, you hate them until some guy (like me) would take your pretty feet and carress them, rub them, kiss them, lick them and suck your toes like little lollipops! As far as men liking to look at women's feet, let me tell you that women's feet our not our primary point of interest...we're just men and we have a penis. If it looks good...WE WANT IT...and...WE DON'T CARE WHAT IT IS! But, that's the key point...it HAS TO LOOK GOOD! What more needs to be said? Now, the real question is if you hate feet so much, why did you spend the time and money for a pedicure...huh?
my ex hates feet too, he thinks everyone should wear socks all the time
I think it's one of their fetishes.
I think pretty feet are really sexy! I like french tip pedicures. If all a man is interested in is the feet, that probably isn't too healthy, but if a sexy lady has sexy feet, why not enjoy it?

But why do you hate feet?

    D.I.Y pedicure ideas?

First remove any polish you have on your toes and then cu your nails and file them. Next soak your feet in as hot of water as you can bear and you can add scented oil to make it more relaxing. After 5-10 minutes use an exfoliant on your feet and then wash them off and towel dry them. Now use a pumice stone or foot file on the heels and balls of your feet. Then apply a moisturizing lotion to your feet. Next put some remover on a cottonball and wipe it on your nails to remove the lotion and then wipe your nails with a dry cottonball. Now use a base (1 coat),then an enamel (2 coats), and then a shiny top coat(1 coat). Wait 2 minutes in between coats and do this at least 2 hours before bed. Use the top coat weekly to ';freshen up'; your pedi. Have fun!

    Cute Manicure and Pedicure ideas???

Fashion crime number one! never ever use stick on flowers and patterns on your nails! they look tacky! well..I normally like really pale pink hues.Like I used this pale pink shade as the base and i top it off with revlon's sweet nothings in pillow talk ( which is glittery and very good 2 use! ) and it looks soooo pretty! very princess and cute. and I also loooove metallics! pink metallics are very cool and can match ur outfit anytime. bright neon nails are very in right now, but i find the neon yellows and neon oranges a tad bit OTT. its alright for my toes but I prefer girly shades for my nails. :):) hope that helps, and may girly girls unite! xoxoCute Manicure and Pedicure ideas???

Home Manicure & Pedicure Tips And Facial Help!?

    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to give yourself a pedicure and a manicure at home, and what tools you need to do so.

I was also wondering if anyone knew how to make home made facial masks for dry skin, I want a mask that will hydrate and freshen my skin for this summer.

Thank You xHome Manicure %26amp; Pedicure Tips And Facial Help!?
    for manicure follow these steps

    # Using cotton balls remove any old nail polish with acetone or nail polish remover. Next you want to shape the nail using a nail cutter or file which can be foudn in your manicure set.

    # Next take liquid soap or shampoo and add it to your warm water and soak your nails to help them soften. After you are done soaking the nails you want to wash them clean with cold water and dry them with a paper towel.

    # Next using cream you want to take your buffer and buff your cuticles with the cream. Using the cuticle pusher gently push the cuticle back.

    # Next you want to massage your hands for approximately 5-10 minutes. This will help increase circulation. Add lotion to hands to increase moisture.

    # Apply the first coat of nail polish. When the first coat is dried and hard apply the second coat of polish. Do not dab but stroke in on with three even strokes starting at the base and sweeping up to the top and allow the nails to dry in between the coats

for pedicure repeat the same steps on your feet

here is a great remedy for dry skin

Add a few drops of lemon juice to 1/2 an avocado, and mash. Apply to clean skin and allow to remain for 20 minutes. Then remove with some tissue, and splash the skin with cold, then warm, water.Home Manicure %26amp; Pedicure Tips And Facial Help!?
You need some curved stickers. You stick them just under your tips or your nails and paint the top white. Leeave to dry. Then you peal off the stickers and paint over the nail with gloss. ! :D

Has anyone gotten a manicure or a pedicure?lol?

    Yes, both.Has anyone gotten a manicure or a pedicure?lol?
Yes, they're very nice to get, especially a pedicure because they really clean up your nails and make them look well-groomed.Has anyone gotten a manicure or a pedicure?lol?
Yes, I used to spend around $70 every few weeks to get my nails and toes done. It's a fine treatment but can become very expensive, and it's easy to do a job just as good at home.

Search pedicuring and manicuring kits. I wouldn't mind price too much; a $70 combination for toes and nails at a salon cannot be matched by an at-home kit, for sure.

If you want fake nails, stores like Walmart sell quality glue that will last just as long as acrylic nails, and strong nails that will last just as long as well.
    Yes, haha?
yes, both. is there something i am missing here, like a point to that question??
ummm yes! like both once a month.
    yes! and love 'em!
    All the time! :)
    both.
Yes and I have given them also.

I suggest you bring your own tools with you as most nail technicians would understand that you are being careful.

I have even seen the manicure set in the supermarket, but also check in the beauty supply, drugstore, maybe even Walmart.

Your best bet is to go to a high end salon that is more likely to be very clean and sanitary.

  • Is a pedicure for me?

how can a pedicure benafit me is it good for athleets foot and whats the diffent beteen a spy pedicure and a french pedicure and is this jest for girl or can guys have one tooIs a pedicure for me?
my fiancee and I often go get pedicures together! They massage your feet, ankles and calfs, buff your skin and put any type of three masks on it. (for Girls-they will paint your toes) They trim your toenails correctly and your cuticles. the difference between french manicure (white tips of your nails) and sports pedicure is usually just what each offers, They are different for different peopleIs a pedicure for me?
It for everyone, men have there nail and toe done all the time.it great try it, you love it.

for athlete foot i would use a athlete foot spray. This will help alot.
Pedicure can be for both men and women, For guys a Spa pedicure is the best.....

For athlets foot use a spray Call Foot works by Avon.
    Pedicures rock...

Guys do not get french pedicures...the tip of the toes are painted white. I had one in the summer and it looks cool with flip flops!

Spa pedicures are very relaxing, and for athletes they can be very soothing. I would suggest giving yourself and hour and treating yourself to one.
    what did you just say?
Yes, it is for you and Pedicures are wonderful. And as a female athlete, I must say, I never realized how wonderful they were until I started training really hard. GET ONE!

Plus it is impressive to women.

I have my nail license and I will not touch a mans foot. Why don't you both get pedicures together so you can get some pampering as well.
I have given him a pedicure and I would definately do it again. He always massages my feet and I love giving him them in return. It's all about giving and receiving my friends.
I will trim %26amp; lotion my husband's feet, but neither of us want to see him in my nail polish!!!!
I clip my boyfriends toenails but that's as far as it goes.
    i would!!
Maybe, if he really wanted one, but i doubt it
I do all the time. I think its fun and he is relaxed when I do it. Then while he is having his pedicure we have our communication. I must say he even lets my daughter paint his toe nails too.

My first pedicure tomorrow? A few questions :)?

OK here it goes. . :)

How long will it take the stylist to complete it?

Should I get a french pedicure or a color?

if color, what color and should I get a design on it?

    How long will they last?

And, is it damaging to the toenails? My first pedicure tomorrow? A few questions :)?
Omygosh,im getting a manicure tomorrow and I decided I want a french manicure with a hot pink stripe underneath the french.:DIt's so hard to choose I think it looks more expense looking with the french.Don't worry about how long it takes!Hun the longer the better(your nails will turn out better the longer they take!)Don't have ANY worries what so ever about that it's supposed to be fun and relaxing you will most definatly enjoy it.They will last only week,if youd like to keep it longer(like normal people)you should apply clear nailpolish go to a local beuty supply and ask them which works best!I reccomend applying the clear nailpolish the next day just to make shuree none of yr beutiful nails r chipped. And omg no its very healthy cuz they trim yr nails and they stick yr feet in warm water and it's very good for yr toes.

I typed alot lo its cuz this is like my fav thing nails haha the main thing is just to have fun with it!My first pedicure tomorrow? A few questions :)?
    seriously?

    wow.....anyways...

it takes about 30 minutes for the SALONIST to do it, and about 15-20 mins under the blacklight. (the thing that makes them dry.)

i would suggest a cute color.

french mani/pedis are better for summer.

get something bright, and fun. like lime green, or sky blue, or even hot pink, for spring.

depending on how rough you are on them, they can usually last at least a week before they start to chip, if you reaply a clear coat every 2 days or so.

and NO!!! of COURSE its not damaging to the toenails.

it is GOOD for your feet. if you get an actual pedicure, and not just paint. they buff your feet and get off all the dead skin. most salons even give a minute or so of calf massage.

the only way it could be damaging to your toenails, is if you get your nails/toenails constantly painted, because if they dont get exposure to oxygen everyonce in a while, they can begin to turn yellow.
For when it comes to a pedicure the stylist will take about a good 30 to 45 minutes to get the job done. I think that you should to for color cause it'll make you look beautiful and as far as the color I'll chose hot pink. That'll take about 10 to 15 minutes to get done and another additional 15 to 20 minutes for the nail color to dry.
it wont take long but it depends when they get your seat/water ready %26amp; i always get color but your toe nails have to been long enough for a french pedi %26amp; any color you like will be good %26amp; i always get a flower on my BIG toe %26amp; it depends if you are a picker like i am %26amp; you pick at things alot %26amp; im not sure if it damaging i doubt it is though
It usually takes about 25 minutes, give or take 5 minutes. I usually get a french pedicure because I think it looks nice and its not something I could do on my own. You should get it done every week and a half or they will start to look pretty bad. They last longer if you wear shoes with socks. I dont think its damaging in fact I would have to say its good for your nails.
    1) It depends. Around 30 min to an hour?

    2) French! But change the french tip color (=

Choose spring colors! Ex: Pink, purple, yellow, orange, ect

    3) Um that depends too. Mine lost for about 2 months?

Well duh its damaging to the toenails lol

    Homemade facial/pedicure/manicure products?

I'm throwing a spa night for my bridesmaids and new sister in laws to help relax us all and to get ready for tommorrow. I would rather just make my own stuff to use, and I don't need anything fancy. Do you have any ';recipes'; for facial stuff, a foot scrub or anything else for manicures and pedicures?

    Any fun ideas?Homemade facial/pedicure/manicure products?
Try a green tea, milk, honey %26amp; lemon mask. I use it at least once a month, it completely rejuvenates your skin!! Use 2-3 tbs. of honey, 1 tbs. milk, 2 tbs. green tea, and half a squeezed lemon.

    American pedicure?

I've heard other girls talk about American pedicures. I'm not familiar with that one. Anyone know what it looks like?American pedicure?
American Pedicure is professional care and treatment of the feet, as removal of corns and trimming of toenails. It involves using a shaving implimant that cuts awat overgrown skin from the bottom of the fet. There are oils applied to the feet to induce softness, making standing with more comfort. The color of the nail polish is your choice. Some salons even paint on flowers or butterfiles, or many other designs.

My wife really enjoys the wonderful treatment.American pedicure?
I thought a pedicure was when you have your toenails clipped.
The French manicure has really white tips and pinker nail base colors. The American manicure uses more natural skintone matching colors and looks like your natural nail. The tip of the nail is done in a creamier white and the pink is more peachy colored.
sort of ';freedom fries'; I guess!
    very very natural
Just like an american manicure, pink base coat with creamy white tips. French manicure have a clear basecoat, that's the only difference.
The french pedicure is a clearer coat with white tips, ans an americian pedicure is with a pink under coat with white tips, then they put a frosty looking coat on top of the finished product.
hey I amercian pedicure is the pinkish nail polish and than instead of a white tip its red

    Yes . A lot of men get pedicure`s .

    Part of personal hygiene .

You don't want to go to the beach with yellow toe nails .
Actually, I have. My then-girlfriend.now-wifey paid for it. But she took me to one of those all-Asian ones. Needless to say, yes, I would do it again, at the exact same place :)
My husband got one once. Not by choice though. He is in sales and was trying to get this salon as a client and agreed to get a pedicure from the owner of the salon. He HATED it! I don't know why, I love them. But he hated the feeling of someone touching his feet and toes and said the woman was really rough with the emery board and he said it hurt. And he complained about it for a week! Men! LOL! :)
its not relaxing it makes you gay no guy gets his nails done....but if your a dragon lion thing you can kill bystanders which is very relaxing
Im a Turkey i dont need a pedicure.
Probably not in this life time. It would be a waste for me.
Sure we like being pampered too

I find it more relaxing to keep the $20.00 in my pocket.
If its a girl doing the pedicure and she`s pretty like me then yes i would. Now come and give me a big sloppy kiss.
    No I haven't... I guess I could...lol.... doubt I will.

    Girls: Pedicure?

I've never had a Pedicure before, Is it expensive? What do they do? What to expect? Please help I need details to know what to expect from having a good pedicureGirls: Pedicure?
Pedicures are amazing!! They really are an experience. It is quite pricey, but in my opinion well worth it. Of course it does depend on where you go. I am sure you could find a cheaper place to get a pedicure. I don't know if the quality would be up to your standards though. Nicer places, I feel, is neater looking polish, more varities of paint to choose from, it lasts longer, and the workers are trained more. Another issue with cheaper places is it may not be very hygenic. You want a place that cleans the foot tubs out nicely and has good upkeep. Where I go they put me in a relaxing section of a room with dimmed lighten and soft, relaxing music playing. They put you in a massage chair and warm up the foot water. Don't feel bad if you have to ask them to turn the chair vibrations down. Sometimes it feels violent!! They will soak you feet in the warm water and massage your legs and feet with the water and sometimes lotions or oils ( depending on what you perfer or what the salon normally does ). They get all of the dead skin off and make your feet very soft. They also trim the toenails if needed. Then, you select your polish and the paint. You will probably have to put your feet undera blue light thing for them to dry. I really recommend picking a polish color that you know you will like for your first time. ENJOY!!

    TIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:

    1) were open toed shoes like flip flops so you don't have to wear their cheap flip flops out because they are normally too big and uncomforatable.

    2) Bring enough money for a nice tip. I normally go around $15 I think.

3)They cosmotoligists are normally not that talkative, but if you wish o just be relaxed with no distractions just close your eyes and then they will know before they start they you want to be as peaceful as possible.

    4) Brace yourself. When you walk in it smells very strong like polishes and chemicals. If you are prone to headaches might want to bring some Advil. Don't worry you will get used to the smell.

    5) Even with an appointment, sometimes there is a small wait. This is not everywhere you go just a headsup.

    6) Relax and enjoy it as much as possible!!Girls: Pedicure?
The price depends on where you go. You don't want something too expensive; it's a waste, but NEVER go anywhere too cheap. Make sure the place is clean and hygenic, you can get some nasty infections. Most places will massage your feet and buff them and everything so they're soft and nice and then they'll paint your nails. :)
at a cheap place that is clean, like a walk in place it would be about 15 dollars but dont forget tip, at a really nice spa it could be anywhere from 25 to 35 dollars, but if you dance dont let them use the skin scrubber thing, because dancers need that layer, taking it off would make it easier for you to bleed or bruise
Pedicures feel so good!!!! It's like so awesome when I get them. They are SO much better than manicures. You get to soak your feet in hot water and read a magazine, and they put lotion on your feet and when you walk out you feel amazing because your feet are really clean. Its not THAT expensive. Its affordable.
A good pedicure- they soak your feet real good; rub your feet with exfoliating cleansers; get rid of any dead skin; polish your toenails; massage your feet and lower legs. It feels great. A pedicure will leave your feet feeling soft and looking cute. Its not expensive...the cheapest I've had was $15. You're really going to like it.
They're 10-40 $. it depends on where you go. what happens is they soak your feet in water, and but a bunch of different soaps, lotions, etc. on your legs and feet. They also massage your legs and feet a little. Then, they file your toenails, and paint them.
I hate having my feet touched. BUT

They massage your feet. They scrape the dead skin off. They cut your toe nails, shape them, and paint them. It's a little more than getting a manicure. I pay like $20 for a pedicure.
pedicures are awesome. more expensive than manicures but totally worth it. they exfoliate, and moisturize and soak and do cuticals and stuff then polish. Totally awesome experience
Okay, the the Pedi is about $30-40 but it comes with

    -Painted Nails

    -Masage Fingers

    Mani/Pedi

Pedi cost $45-50 and it comes with

    -Painted Toe Nails

    -Masaged feet

    -Relaxation
I go a a place by my house. Not a major upscale spa or anything.

It is $35 for about a hour. Soak your feet, scrub dead skin, trim nails, massage legs and paint toes.

    I usually tip $10.
they massasge your legs and they clean, buff your nails and paint them if you'd like. maniucres are good too. Mine usually if i get a french mani-peti cost about $75 each. have fun! Best of luck♥
GIRLY ITS VERY CHEAP IN SOME PLACES

    THEY RUN FROM 12-24 BUCKS!!!

THEY LEAVE YOUR FEET SUPER SOFT AND SUPER

    CUTE!!!

BEST ADVISE GO EVERY TWO WEEKS!!!!
ahhh. theyre so funn and relaxing. umm mine was about $20.

they massage your legs...and fix your toenails and like paint them..

    My 1st pedicure?

im 13 yrs old and ive nver went to the salon to have a manicure or pedicure. i always didd my nails at home but i want to get them professionlly done. wat age should i start? now? or should i have started earlier? i hate my toes and i want to get them done but idk if my parents would let me cuz they might think im too young. i want to get it done before flip flop season. My 1st pedicure?
start at 13 so you can learn to get the feel with them so when you are 21 and older and you decide that you want to do that then you know how it will feelMy 1st pedicure?
That's the perfect age to start :) That's when I got my first manicure!

Are your friends doing it? You should have a mani/pedicure party. Tell your parents about that idea and they might just let you!

good luck! And flip flop season already hun! Hurry hurry hurry!! =)

    *sam :)
Pedicures are not only a vanity thing, but when done by a qualified professional, can really benefit the health of your toenails/feet.

Go to a well known salon which specialises in nails, and have a pedicure done. If you're parents think you're too young for colour/acrylics, then opt for a clear varnish over your toenails. It will give them a glossy sheen, and they'll look healthy and clean. :)

Do you like this color for my pedicure?

http://blogs.eastvalleytribune.com/resserver.php?blogId=19%26amp;resource=k41.jpgDo you like this color for my pedicure?
    The color looks fine.

The length of the toenails do NOT!!Do you like this color for my pedicure?
Holy crap, those nails are atrocious. Ugh. Anyway.

As long as your nails aren't that long, I think the color's fine.
    I dont like it.
I don't but hey, its your pedicure!
nice colour ...but gross length of nails !
omg those nails... the length makes your feet look like Godzilla!!! but the color is nice but ugh dont go 4 that length

    Getting a pedicure?

can you still get a pedicure at a nail salon if you have yellow toe nails?

What if it's (possibly)nail fungus and not dark nail polish discoloration, but you not 100% sure.Getting a pedicure?
My toenails are naturally yellow. so i never worry about it. Nail fungus is not yellow. it is kind of more darkish almost looks like a bruise or dirt under the nail. To get rid of it go to your local drug store they make anti-fungal medicine that you put on for a few days and it goes away. It is normally in the foot care section or in the nail products section. Works like a charm. If you aren't sure if you have fungus, ask the pedicure person. That is who told me i had a fungus in the first place.Getting a pedicure?
yea theyll still give u a pedicure...and to help with ur yellow nails..soak them in bleach..(it helps)
They will still give you a pedicure...but you might kind of gross them out. My mom gets pedicures, and she has yellowish toenails.
I'm sure that the people giving you the ped. would love it, you should. It would be funny.

    Pedicure, I need one@?

Will a pedicure help my feet to look much better...I hate my feet, I wanna wear sandals..what will a pedicure doPedicure, I need one@?
A pedicure will make your feet look a whole lot better. they remove dead skin, clean up your cuticles, clean your toenails, put conditioner on your toe nails, and paint them in a nice summer colour. And the best part is, its almost better then sex or chocolatePedicure, I need one@?
it WILL beleve me look them better
    yes
    1. It will just make your toenails look better.

    2. To make your feet look better soak your feet in a mixture of water and baking soda.
During pedicures, they slough off all the dead skin and callouses, make them look smoother and healthier. Then they file down your toenails, and paint them. If possible, get a spa pedicure, you get a foot soak and a foot massage. Your feet feel so good when it's done, and they'll look their best.
Definitely get a pedicure. Your feet feel and look fabulous afterwards. And everybody looking at your feet in sandals will thank you.
yes they do help a lot and if you take care of you toenails they'll be healthier and look better
yes a pedicure will help them look better and it feels so good getting one

    Pedicure pricing?

how much does a 45 minute pumice stone and shea butter foot cream foot massage cost?Pedicure pricing?
Mine is $20 ($15 for students), and I go to a super inexpensive place. Most places do charge more.Pedicure pricing?
Typically it's about $25- $30. It looks like you would want the spa pedicure. My advice to you is to go to one of the schools where they give you pedicures. Local nail salons and shops generally have old rusted tools which cause you to bleed. Make sure you check in to the place that you are going to go to and make sure that they have no law suits against them. You think I am kidding, but I am not. Some people who do the toes cause them to bleed when they remove the cudicles. Be careful, whereever you go, because you do not want your feet to be in pain.
    Prices very shop by shop.

The best advice I could give you would to call around your local salons and ask the price for a more accurate estimate.
It really just depends where you live and where you get it.
depends on the nail salon that you go to. call them up and ask them how much it is.

It's okay. Go get the pedicure. You will be glad you did.Pedicure help?
quit bein wimpy!! go ahead and get a pedicure at a reputable establishment.

It is like goin to the doctor, sort of! They have seen everything and will not comment on the condition of your legs.

If they do, they are not very professional and should have their license pulled!

Go ahead and endulge yourself!! It is very relaxing!
Go get a pedicure! They are fantastic-relaxing and enjoyable. From the fact that you give yourself home pedicures I can assume that you take good care of yourself and I am sure the nail tech won't give a second glance to your legs. Just think of some of the nasty feet they have to work on!

If you are really uncomfortable with exposing your lower legs you could give yourself a home pedicure-soak, exfoliate, etc. and just go to the salon to have your polish done-that way your legs won't be exposed.

    Pedicure - help me out?

how can i do pedicure at home with out goin to parlour... help me please... and also suggest for manicurePedicure - help me out?
    http://geebal.blogspot.com/2006/08/natural-home-made-tip-on-pedicure.html#name1Pedicure - help me out?
to do a pedicure you just soak your feet in hot soapy water.scrubb the bottem of your feet, clip your toenails, clean your toes well and in the end paint them..you don;t have to spend money on it if you have time and patience to do it yourself
You can do pedicure at home by buying the things that you need for it like the nail polish, cuticle remover, nipper, cuticle pusher, nail brush, nail cutter and nail file. You can also use this things for your manicure. In this way, you can buy a nail polish color that you want and at the same time you will be sure that what you are using for your feet and hands are safe. Always make sure that you sanitize/clean you tools after use.
whatever you do, don't cut your cuticles!!

what are cuticles for in the first place? to protect your nails from damage. You may say that it its ugly, but for your own good don't do it.

try cuticle oils and creams. Moisturize your cuticles. They look nice, maybe even nicer then cut cuticles.
The foot scrubbing is really why people pay for pedicures. If you can do that right then you've nailed it. For both, cut those cuticles.
Go to Wal-Mart and buy a pedicure kit in the cosmetics section and follow those directions. If you don't want to do that I have a home pedicure you can do as well:

1.Turn on the bath/shower to hot and put your feet under the hot water for about five minutes or at least until your feet are steamy and red.

2.Dry your feet off in a towl.

3.Clip off any really long nails.

4.File nails to a short rounded length.

5.Massage your feet with a lotion that smells good. Preferrably one designed for feet, but not necessary.

6.Wait for the lotion to dry then pick a pretty color nail polish and paint your toenails.

7.After they dry go over them in a clear nailpolish.

    8.Dry them with a hairdryer.
get a nailclipper for pedicure. for manicure a different set.

soak your feet in luke warm water.

pat dry and trim toe nails with clippers.

file them to shape you like - rounded or squared.

I prefer tapered at the ends.

Soak feet again and use scrub to scrub toes and heel.

use file to remove dead skin around the heels and under feet.

    For manicure, same procedure.

Now, use good moisturizer to condition feet %26amp; hands

Can you get a pedicure even if your feet are ticklish?

I cant~Can you get a pedicure even if your feet are ticklish?
i cant, i laugh so much.
  • wedding makeup
  • Pedicure tickles?

does having ticklish feet stop you having a pedicure? would you tell us your time in a saloon where you were trying not to giggle or giggled a lot when having your feet done.Pedicure tickles?
There are many ticklish people who can handle a pedicure and there are many other who are just way too ticklish for a pedicure.

Many skilled salon employees can minimize the tickling based on the pressure that they apply but there may be some techniques that just tickle too much no matter how much or how little pressure is applied.

If somebody is too ticklish and they are concerned about it, they should inform the staff before hand and let them know to try not to tickle at all.

    Pedicure questtioooonnnnnn!?

So like I see everywhere where is says never cut your cuticle but why do they do at like every nail salon?? Are they suppose too??Pedicure questtioooonnnnnn!?
They are allowed to cut the cuticle if it overgrows onto the nail but not the cuticle it self. Cutting the cuticle can cause infection.Pedicure questtioooonnnnnn!?
uhm...i always cut my cuticles, so i don't see what the problem is...so yeah... no harm to me yet! lol!
Its just so when you leave your feet look good. Cuticles end up growing back thicker and grosser so i advise asking the lady to just push them back and not cut them, thats what i do.
i dunno but the people at the nail salon they always cut too low and it really hurts. they made my friends fingers bleed cuz they cut it to low.

Which looks better...french pedicure or bright and flashy?

I'd prefer amputated hands with white stump socks.Which looks better...french pedicure or bright and flashy?
i would go with the frenchWhich looks better...french pedicure or bright and flashy?
French is a lilttle classier than a color or design. It always matches what you plan on wearing no matter what ever tha tmaybe. If you want to be spontaneous or feelin a little different then I say go for a cute color or even a weird design.
Personally, I think a french pedicure looks better.
    Well from a man's view Flashy always looks sexy to me and French looks classy and great for dress up...Flashy looks yummy for getting attention to your toes..which I love :}

any way is what sets women apart a woman that takes great care of her feet and toes is a mark of A+++ IN MY BOOK

    love it
I like the american pedicure it looks nature. It looks almost like the french pedicure.
u would do a french pedicure
French Pedicures are classic and they go with everything.
i like french pedicure , looks sexy
I like bright and some what flashy
    bright and flashy
I like french pedicure's better... because it matches anything you wear and it looks really good when you are dressing up to go somewhere
    french pedicure is classier
    French pedicure is better.
I guess I prefer to go with a light pink polish. This way your not over the top but have just the right amount of color on your little pigs :)
a clean french manicure always looks classy, but red nails are classic!
it depends if u want to go classy or if you to get attention if you want class y pick french pedicure and if u want attention pick bright and flashy
depends on what you are going for........french is classic and sublte.....but if you are going forparty mode....flashy bright pinks are great......
i like french pedicures better but thats just me
french is always classy and appropriate wherever you are. brighter colors are good, too but might not be quite right for say, a business meeting or job interview. just get whatever works for the things you know you'll be doing afterwards.

but just as a mainstay, french is always best. it looks classy and grown up and is good on hands and feet.
    both
now i know some guy like flashy i though the french pedicure looks all natural and better.
ur butt is looks better than bottle!
    I like french
french- I hate bright tacky colors.
French is classy...but i like bright also if i am in that mood
    Winter/Fall- French

    Spring/Summer- Flashy
    flashy is better for guys
i think the french pedicure/manicure has run its course how about some flashy funky colors for a change the whole french thing is hard to maintain and its boring go for the color girl
    French pedicures are so much more elegant. They say, ';I know I'm here... You know I'm here.... but you don't get a free pass... you'll have to impress me to get me.';
I like french pedicure most ,very classy but hot and flashy works too.

    Would this be rude?- pedicure?

Okay so I have a pedicure schedulaed for next week and I don't get pedis often so I really don't want to cancel, but a couple days ago, my big toenail fell off (I'm a pointe dancer). Would it be rude to make the lady still give me a pedicure even though I don't have a toe. Should I cancel or go anyway?Would this be rude?- pedicure?
WOW did that hurt? would you even want someone around that toe wouldn't it be painful? but if you still want the pedicure it shouldn't be a problem I'm sure they've seen much worseWould this be rude?- pedicure?
you still have nine other toenails to work with, and luckily a pedi can work all over your foot, not just the nails.
I'm sorry to hear about your toenail. Just call her and explain the situation. I'm sure she's dealt with some really messed up feet. She'll understand.
no it wouldn't be rude, she just wont paint tha toenail! Go get your pedi and relax!! !
I think you should maybe call and ask because what if the toenail falling off makes you more prone to infection. Ask it can't hurt (I would ask your doctor)
    go anyway!!

my mom doesn't have any toenails and she gets them done a lot. I wouldn't get an acrylic [on the toe] though because of your pointes.
Go anyway. Nail techs see all kinds of feet.
I would just cancel..it would be pointless to get a pedi if you only have nine toenails to paint...just explaine the situation to her.She will understand.
Go, maybe they will give you a % off...
I would go anyway and just explain what happened.
your whole toenail fell off??????...if thats the case i wouldnt go just cos it might be painful for you...but if it just broke down far id still go...
    eeeeeeeew cancel
Call and cancel. If you toenail is in somewhat of a flux, you could be at risk for an infection. Postpone your appointment for the time being! Don't put yourself at risk.
    go anyway .

its her job to do it . ya know .
It wouldnt be rude to go like that. Its their jobs.

But I would be careful. Sometimes they dont understand what you're saying and they might end up hurting your toe!
i think it would be a good idea to go, just cause u dont have a toe-nail, doesnt mean you still dont have 9 other toe-nails...
it wouldn't be rude...nessasarly...just kind of awkward.
Go anyway..I know they've seen and dealt with worse...I've sat next to them!
No, you should go anyway (lol gently! I felt the same way!) I'm sure your pedicurist will have seen everything. I've got horrible feet from pointe work, and ice skates recently havn't made things any better! My darling pedicurist sees me once a month and prevents anything worse developing, and if it looks like it is, I see a podiatrist. You should go anyway.
go anyway. why not? they've seen these worse.
Don't cancel, pamper yourself!!!! I go for pedi's every month and have become quite friendly with the lady that does mine. They see all kinds of things, even people with gross funky feet. If you are a dancer, then don't worry about it. That is not something to be ashamed of anyway... People lose toenails all the time, especially runners... Just go and enjoy it!!!!
thats there job, make them work for their money. go there and dont worry about what their saying about you in chinese.lol.
Well it's kinda his or her job, if you have 10 toenails or not. If she doesnt want to deal with it she should've never taken the job.
It would be rude, and it would be pointless, you could explain the situation and go to her after your nail grows back.
go. who cares what she thinks. not like you'll ever see her again (unless you to the nail place again)
i would still go but i would probably be paranoid about what they were thinking. I would just make sure i told her what happened before she starts. Or even ring in advance and ask them if they still want to do the pedi. It shows a bit of courtesy to the beautician.
    Yeah just go.

Beauticians see the worst of everything, and why should you be denied a pedicure - you deserve it more now!!
They have dealt with worse, like people w/ six toes. Just GO!!!! if u dont get to that often, it sounds like u need to pamper urself! xP
It's you decision. Go if you want, Cancel it if you want.
Go anyways...Don't always think of what people think or say about you or to you...Good Luck!

Do guys get MINICURE & PEDICURE ?

I'm sure some of them do. What do you think ? I think it's a good thing to take care of hands and feet and make them look good. Nowadays it's for both male and female I suppose. I'm a 18 yrs boy and I was thinking about starting go get both. What do you think ? I need suggestions, especially from the ladies. Thanks.Do guys get MINICURE %26amp; PEDICURE ?
i think it is really a good idea for guys to have good higean. (how ever you spell it) hah. but i think it's good and shows a girl that you know how to take care of your self..Do guys get MINICURE %26amp; PEDICURE ?
I think that a Mini/PediCure for men is a little over the top. I believe that a simple trimming weekly will be enough for any woman to accept you as having good hygiene. Having good hygiene doesn't mean you have to do as women do. Just keep things nice, cut, and washed...simple.
Don't think it's very manly to see a guy go get his hands and feet done! UGH...give me a manly man.
i think this is the first step for you in becomign gay.. all i gotta say
    wtf

This one is for Pedicure lovers....?

What is your favorite part of a pedicure? Describe a perfect pedicure, without being nasty of course. I am starting a pedicure business and I would love some input. Men reply also if you have had one. ThanksThis one is for Pedicure lovers....?
My favorite part is the calf massage. I could sit there all day and let them massage me. I also like having so many polish colors to choose from. I don't like if I am trying to read a magazine and the pedicure person keeps talking to me. I also don't like when I can't understand what I am being asked because the person's English is so bad. This one is for Pedicure lovers....?
If you know any thing about reflexology this is good. I was studying reflexology on my own and a friend bought me a book I started using it along with my pedicures. What this type of foot message does is locate back problems. A real good example I can give you for instant. Some one wants a pedicure and they have a headache. Rub their big toe not harshly there many nerves in the toes that effect the body. Around the heel will relieve tension around the kidney area. Rub toes for sinus problems also. Different parts of the feet effect different parts of the rest of the body. Reflexology books can be found at your local library and also check the internet for more information. You can't charge extra without having a license but your customers should come back and what is more is that you don't advertise it to any one this is your own information. Keep it to yourself because sometimes it is for your better benefit.
I dont like the calf massage if they squeeze too hard. It hurt so badly one time, I had to ask the person to stop because I knew I was going to be sore the next day! I love it when the soap they use smells nice and the water isn't allowed to get cold (many times I have taken my feet out to have something done, put them back in and found cold water, ewww) Also, I think a pedicutist should ask a client wether or not theyt would like to have the razor used on the bottom of their feet or not. My feet are very sensitive, and quite frankly, the idea of having a stranger use a razor anywhere on me kind freaks me out.

    Good luck!
    Oh...bliss. Sheer bliss.

My daughter and I do this 2 times a month, it's our bond time, for a couple of hours no preteen angst lol

The nail spa we go to has a wonderful owner, very hands on and she gets to know her clients and their needs. After just a few visits, she saw long term customer potential in us and offered us a package deal. That was 2 years ago and we are still going! She now offers it to all customers, calls it tips and toes. She has a room that is glassed off from the outer room. She can still observe all that goes on but it allows the package customers some peace and quiet. We can pick some tunes we like, talk about stuff and just relax. One investment she considered crucial is the ped chair..she upgrades every couple of years and it makes a huge difference.

I also like a range of services...parrafin ( sp?), stones, nail art, deep tissue massage. She also gives sample lotions, its a nice touch.

We pay a bit more than most of the strip mall nail salons but you know what? Worth every penny.
the foot and leg massage...it is so relaxing...actually, nothing is better than a pedicure...it makes me feel special..good luck with your new business...i am sure you will be successful...
i love having the warm towel put on my legs it is soo relaxing

i especially love the massage on my calves and feet

the entire time of getting a pedicure is defenitely relaxing though and it would be nicer if you cleaned the vents of th chairs with a strong disinfectant because i have a friend who got a toe fungus when getting a pedicure

Ever dream a naked Elton John was giving you a pedicure as a leather clad Britney Spears tossed sushi at you?

  • Did she do my pedicure wrong...?

She used an electrical file on all my toe nail? Could this weaken my nails?Did she do my pedicure wrong...?
yes she did.....there is NO reason to use an electric file when doing a pedicure....do you have acrylic on your toes? an electric file should only be used when doing a fill-in....i would suggest that you not go back to this person....that's dumb for her/him to even think about using an electric file on a pedicure...even if you do have tips on your toes i wouldnt use an electric file to fill them....they should have used a hand file...OMG you need a new nail tech--if they are doing that there's no telling what else they are doing that is wrong and illegalDid she do my pedicure wrong...?
Yeah probably. Of course we're not psychic so we wouldn't know plus you didn't provide a picture
Yes , I think so. I think she was being very lazy. In reality the top part of the nail does not need to be filed. Just buffed. I think only the sides should be filed.
The only reason to do that is to prepare the nails for tips. If you don't have fake toenails than don't go to that technician again.
    Are your feet still cute??If so,don't worry!!LOL
depends on how forceful she was...
yes..its illegal to use that on the actual nail bed
In my opinion YES. In school we were taught to soak, clear the debris and excess cuticle, file the ends of the toes straight or to the customer's specification, massage the feet and lubricate. People today are always in a hurry. The only reason she should have used a drill is if you were applying acrylic toe nails then it should have been lightly.

Smelly Feet, will a pedicure help?!?!?

Hey guys, question, i NEVER ware socks, i jsut dont like they way the feel, i like to beable to willge my toes. Well to make a long story short, i was wondering if i go get a pedacure, will it help? I am going to star waring socks, but what can i do to make my feet stop smelling? I ware sandals all summer spring and fall long, its just in the winter.

Any ideas?Smelly Feet, will a pedicure help?!?!?
Patrick's right about washing the feet and checking the shoes, and you can also soak tea bags and rub them over your feet. The tannins in the tea have an affect on the sweat glands that will help; saw that one on the Discovery Channel.Smelly Feet, will a pedicure help?!?!?
you know those shoes they made recently...thats for people with smelly feet? buy one of those....it circulates air in it...and maybe you should was put your feet in a bucket of vodka...i heard it cures smelly feet...:)
I have never heard of smelly feet when you are not wearing socks / shoes all day long. The smell is usually caused by bacteria or fungus (aka athlete's foot). Soap only kills bacteria on surface. If the smell is caused by fungus, then it's under neath of the skin.

If you go to a doctor, they will give you a very strong meds. But it would upset your stomach and it's not really good for your body in a long run.

The cheapest way is ... buy several bottle of Peroxide. Soak your feet in a couple times a day for 5 to 10 mins each.

This should almost cure common fungi foot problems.

But make sure the shoes you are wearing are also clean.

Wash your shoes or have 2-3 pairs of shoes and different pair of shoes each day.

    Take care,

    Kio
No, make sure to wash your feet daily.Leather shoes may be part of the problem. If you are not wearing socks, the shoe will absorb the sweat. After a while they get that funky odor thing going on. The only way to get rid of the smell is to get rid of the shoes.
Tea Tree Oil will solve this smelly problem. In no time at all....
Please be cautious trying some of these ridiculous remedies, the best thing I have found for feet would be Tea Tree Oil, it is a bit on the expensive side but it goes a long way, and kills bacteria which is the reason for the smell, and every night before you go to bed you should clean the insides of your shoes with a few squirts of Lysol spray, or use baking soda sprinkled inside to absorb the bacteria. Drink lots of purified water. Also try soaking your dogs in dead sea salts, to help pull out the toxins. Go to a Health food store, they can give you the best information about your problem, and have the best remedies.

    Good luck man
Use foot odor spray in your sneakers, and make sure your feet are clean before your pedicure if you want one. Pedicure won't really help foot odor, but it will make your toes look nice.
Pedicures may help the problem, you can buy foot spray's at many supermarkets and pharmacies. These are applied once or twice per day and slowly reduce the smell that your feet produce
well, you can get shoes which have a socks like texture inside, you wont have to wear socks, and you can wiggle your toes...
    Wash it with soap regularly.

when i get a manicure, i like light colors though light and natural.
    hot pink or a coral
I like to go with a maroon-ish in the fall or winter, and a cute pale pink or a bright neon in the summer
black with a nice white design
red it's sassy and sexy and classy.

i am having a pedicure soon. My toenails are kinda gross ugly looking should i do anything to make them look better before i go?Also any designs or colors for the pedicure will be greatly appreciated. im 14. Thanks!!I am having a pedicure?
If you wear toe nail polish for a long time, then your nails might turn a yellow color. I would suggest to not wear any polish untill you go get it done. And maybe give yourself a pre-pedicure at home before you go. That way they wont look so bad. Have fun!

  • If I submerge my feet in an electric jetspa pedicure footbath & then reach over & plug it in would it shock me

I'm kinda scared to use this product late at night when I'm tired in case I reach over to unplug it before stepping out or something. However why is it that we can put our hand in a washing machine filled with water which is plugged in and yet not get shocked? Is there really a risk of electrocution with the foot bath machine? If I submerge my feet in an electric jetspa pedicure footbath %26amp; then reach over %26amp; plug it in would it shock me
that would not be a wise thing to do. Plug it in first then set your feet in. Take your feet out, then unplug it.If I submerge my feet in an electric jetspa pedicure footbath %26amp; then reach over %26amp; plug it in would it shock me
nope,if you are concerned you can have an electrician install a ground fault outlet.
Sure, if there was a wire exposed on the cord sending an electrical current through your body.

I got my 12 year old brother a French pedicure. He likes it, but I would still like some advice.?

The French pedicure was actually by acident, the lady who did his nails automatically did it.I got my 12 year old brother a French pedicure. He likes it, but I would still like some advice.?
hes not gay... there are hygenic straight men just like there are some dirty gay men... stereotype much? He will be fine, and if he is gay, it has nothing to do with getting a pedicure when he was 12...I got my 12 year old brother a French pedicure. He likes it, but I would still like some advice.?
I do not see how you could have toenails long enough for a french pedicure. They have to stick out from your toes like razors or something. How can you wear socks and shoes and have toenails like that?
ure werid leave ure 12 year old brother alone. Ure just dying to have him be jumped
It's his decision and if he likes it let him keep it, even if it is feminine.
Dude, if he likes it he should keep it. It doesn't mean he's gay. The only way you can be gay is to have sex with another man...it has nothing to do with hygiene or fashion.

All these people bashing him are homophobic retards. And most homophobes have a least some gay tendencies themselves. After all, we hate most in others that which we fear most in ourselves.
    sorry but advice on what?
    he might have gay tendencies
I don't think he's gay maybe he's just a little feminine when it come to hygiene and beauty.
    what the hell??
I doubt anyone will be looking at his toenails long enough to notice the manicure. It's better than the horney-toed guys at my school (one of the few things I hate about summer).
I have been doing nails and pedicures for 17 years..and have done pedi's on many men I highly recommend them for men...not boys. I say no !!! remove the polish...unless one has toe nail conditions which have made them seriously discolored..do not put a french on them. if you opt to still want this I suggest this...have them put a base polish{which usually dries with no shine} on them then a very light translucent white on the tips then another coat of base...you want a dull base so they dont shine. Its a more manly approach to this .
Your BROTHER had a French pedicure and manicure? Are you sure that this isn't wrong? First of all he is boy and secondly he is too young... Please use your mind and think logical...pls
    how is this a question
hey! it is okie for guys to get manicures/ pedicures nowadays rite?! for his age, it might be a little too young.. bt no harm.. who noes, u might be on the rite track of gettin him to be a fine young man who noes how to groom himself nicely! hmm.. it may be ok to get him a french pedicure, bt no varnish on it? boys at his age might nt be able to reason things out.. n might be full of qns, n nt even noe y he liks it in the first plc..
    u should also get one

oh gosh no! my family has a cabin we go to every summer thats right on a lake and one year i was being lazy and just floating around in an innertube i had tied to the dock so i didnt float away....i got bit on the butt by a fish! it scared me so bad because up untill that point i had been just minding my own business enjoying the sun, and now im getting bitten by some rogue bass! it freaked me out and i ended up falling out of my innertube into the lake....so since then the closest i get to fish is them in an aquarium and me looking at them. if i need to get rid of dead skin on my foot that bad ill go to the store and get one of those ped egg things they advertise on tv.

oh, and plus, my feet are ticklelish. like, way tickleish...i cant even imagine how many poor carp would get stepped on as im laughing my *** off because they are tickling me
haha. i saw that on i survived a japanese game show. lol. i seriously wouldn't ever do that tho. they would just tickle my feet and i would accidentally step on one, and that would just make me sad. if i didn't have such ticklish i would do it.

well, it's a pedicure, and i don't think that chewing toe nails is normal.
No it isn't.....Normally they swallow them!
How else would you rather they do it?????
Yep, that's how it's done. Now, you should try a ';waxing';. Drip, Drip, Drip.
    nope
    lol

You mean she didn't swallow them?
    . . . yeah... right.
only if it was Buks sister that gave you the pedicure.
yes it is. then she sweeps um all up and has nail stew.
    you say so
    Sounds ok
I've heard some pretty sick questions on here, but this grossed me out.

Fingernails are one of the dirtiest things...imagine biting someone else's nails.

I couldn't even pick up someone else's fingernail clippings let alone put it in my mouth.

Even though I doubt the truth behind this question, it still made me sick.
    ummm... no!
No, and your avatar is cracking me up!
did you bite your own toenails off LOL?
NOOOO absolutely not! They should eat them, not spit them out!

well no. thats definitely not normal, or healthy...thats just yucky!

Only in the Airports, because they don't allow you to have toenail clippers.
    Def. Not.
    no

  • Pedicure help?

How do I get good nails? What are some good products that keep your nails healthy without damaging, such as protecting the nail from weakening?Pedicure help?
First, you have to watch your diet. Make sure you are getting plenty of protein and calcium/vitamin c.

Then, as for products, I find that keeping my nails smooth and moisturized helps to protect them.

First I soak my nails using some cheap White Tea scented soak that I got from Wal-Mart. I think it costs $2.

I apply a cuticle remover by Sally Hansen (around $5-lasts a long time and I've had mine for about two years). Then I remove/push my cutiles back with a cuticle pusher.

Then I clip and shape my nails.

You should try to avoid clipping your nails dry because it can cause them to split.

Also, when you file your nails do it in one direction.

    Then I buff my nails.

I use a .99 buffer that I got from Sally's (a yellow block) to smooth out my nails.

After that I use a moisturizer. Most of the time it's just a lotion that I have that I massage into my nails. I have a cuticle oil by Sally Hansen but I rarely use it. This also helps to prevent hangnails which I am prone to. If I have any I like to remove them using a cuticle clipper.

If I am not wearing any nail polish on my toes (which chances are I am) I apply a clear coat of polish that is a little on the thick side. I use a polish by Sally Hansen that has been discontinued but I've had it for years.

Anyhow, that's how I maintain strong nails.Pedicure help?
Buy 'Hair Care from Within' from Avon.

it helps you hair, and REALLY stengthens your nails.

but if you cant stand swalloing pills (or the smell of them) then id say dont do it

but there really inexpencive, just google avon, and order!
i heard if you eat and drink dairy products like milk, yogurt, cheese, its suppose to help with strong nails--and something to do with calcium---
drink milk, and like buff out your nails.

    Pedicure with toe wound?

My girlfriend scheduled a pedicure for later today for a wedding we are going to this weekend. She split her big toe open at work last Tuesday. The wound is closed and everything it's just red where the wound is and looks like she stubbed it. It looks worse than it is. Is it safe for her to get a pedicure and/or would the professionals even do it if she decided to go?Pedicure with toe wound?
A stubbed toe, with an open wound might react to some of the chemicals in the foot tub... But... It really isnt going to hurt anything, as long as she can stand the irritation...

Your question should really be asked in the salon/ day spa section, cause you might think about the poor soles who have to deal with that wound that 'looks worse than it really is'... they might be a better overall source.

Ladies, when you get a pedicure, who..foots the bill?

    Just curious.

Bwaa Haa Haaa!!Ladies, when you get a pedicure, who..foots the bill?
I toed you who pays, we ladies use their sole income to bridge the gap in their life. It is no use slipper ing up like Dick Emery . He got board, investing in the arches and being booted out for lack of interest.Ladies, when you get a pedicure, who..foots the bill?
Get a pedicure, I won one once and loved it, but have never had the $ to buy one! I was very pregnant with my 3rd child at the time.

If you make the appointment, I guess it would have to be you!

The foot that gets painted get the bill!
It can be rather a feet to get your man to pay, especially when he`s claiming to be paw that week....but hey he should toe the line. Us girls should keep instep with our beauty treatments, and if he won`t pay sock his jaw or tell him to walk!
Only a heel would let his woman pay for the pedicure herself. I think saying the boyfriend or husband pays would hit the nail on the head. I don't mind paying for my mate's pedicures as she is such a cutiecle. LOL
Blue cross. It's illegal to deny treatment to sick pedis.
    Myself ;)
I don't - foot spas scare me. ';Skin tuberculosis?'; I mean come on. Blagh....
    Its all me!!
    ha
    lol

    my mom
    nice pun there XD

Umm, never had one done..but i imagine i would pay
You mean who pays for it? Of course the BF haha...If he doesn't pay for my bill I'll make him personally do my pedicure muahahaha!!!!

    SavannahPedicure Tonalis question?
yes they should be able to sort your ingrowing toe-nails out but it depends on where you go. usually if its a more upmarket place they will be able to help you.

yes they can paint uneven toe-nails, they will buff them first to make sure they are all even and perfect.

it is usually cheaper to get a pedicure than a manicure but really it depends on what your having done (a full one is usually quite expensive).

as for what design, there are loads of options so just find a design that appeals to you.

  • Pedicure & manicure?

how do you give yourself a pedicure and manicure?

    please help :(

and should i do these two days before, one day before, or the day of a big event where i will have to be showing them off?

    thanks a bunch=]Pedicure %26amp; manicure?
The easiest would be to go to a salon @ Wal-Mart or other nail salon and get it done. If not make sure your nail are groomed well.Make sure they are very clean underneath. Not long and rigid. Make sure they are all the same length. Soak your hands and feet in warm soapy water, next, scrub your feet with a soft bristle brush. Paint if you want color. Last apply lotion to your hands and especially your feet. Try to do it the day of the big event. If that's not possible do it the night before.

    Manicure and Pedicure?

What can I expect when getting a manicure and pedicure? This will be my first time. Thanks!Manicure and Pedicure?
For a pedicure they like massage your feet and rub the dead skin off and moisturize and exfoliate dead skin. They also obviously paint your toes and your feet look beautiful after!!

    Manicure same on hands/arms

oh and pedicures they do the same to your legs.Manicure and Pedicure?
You will look great after and it tickles a little for the peddy. Where i have been its very relaxing and the only uncomfortable part is when they scrape off the dead skin from you feet and when the push down your cuticles but it doesn't hurt and its worth the money.
your going to expect more healthier looking nails and the manicure will start to chip

    Tool for pedicure-removes dead skin?

I recieved a pedicure the other day, there was a woman next to me that needed to have this tool/device that removed dead skin off the feet, it looked like a mini grader of some type , anyone know what this may be?Tool for pedicure-removes dead skin?
AAAAH omg i went to camp and my counselor had that! (we called it a foot cheeser!) im not sure what it is called, but she got it at the dollar store!Tool for pedicure-removes dead skin?
Could have been a pumice stone. Don't know for a fact, but a piece of pumice could be easily mounted on a tool with a metal handle.
    it's a foot pumice

soak your feet in warm water, lemon juice (its good because it cleans out blisters cuts, and even your nails) and some bath salts. then mosturize, cut your toes and paint.

btw, if you are going to use a dark colour, or a bright colour, make sure you use a base coat so the polish doesn't stain your nails.

    Question about pedicure?

I have nice OK toes but fair skin and my ankles do swell now that the weather is getting warmer what is a good way to help the water retention to make my ankles look better and what color would look nice on my toes and does it cost a lot to get flowers or decals put on my big toes? I never done that before.Question about pedicure?
Flowers and decals range from $3-6. If you want to go trendy with your toe nails, bright candy colors are in (hot pinks, electric blues), for a more sophisticated look you can get a nice nude color or maybe a french pedicure. hope that helped! :)Question about pedicure?
Aw! that's great to hear! that's great that you went with a neon orange.. I actually have a neon pink-orange on my nails right now. How lovely! i'm happy to hear you had a pleasant time at the spa :)

  • Want a pedicure at salon in nj or pa that uses basins instead of tubs with jets ( to avoid fungus)?

Even if they don't have jets, there can still be bacteria in the tub if they don't wash it properly. If they are not careful, you could end up with flesh eating bacteria, which will eat its way up your legs!! Not really worth it for a pedicure. I say do it yourself at home, maybe with a friend or something.

    Manicure/pedicure ettiquette?

I've only had two pedicures in my life, and each time I've felt completely out of place. If you're a pro and this, can you give me some pointers? I bring cash to tip everyone, but if you've just had your fingernails done, how in the world do you not mess them up? And how do you leave the salon with shoes on (Even sandals) without goofing up your toes? I'm at a total loss ladies, help me out. Give me your best tips and pointers....everything a rookie needs to know.

    Thanks!!Manicure/pedicure ettiquette?
i always get mani/pedis, im actually getting one today. Okay so before you get your nails done, leave the money on the table beside you and when your finished just tell the lady that the money is on the table and you dont want to mess up your nails by picking it up. usually after pedicures the woman will but your shoes back on for youso you don't mess them up. just ask her, she will. then just walk out, the polish wont smear.Manicure/pedicure ettiquette?
When i get manicures and pedicures i aske to pay befor i get it done that way i won't mess it up. For toes I wear those shoes with a band that opens with the velcro and open the velcro carefully and then i velcro it.
I get them all the time. My nail person has me pay before they do the polish. Also, he/she should put your sandals on for you. I just wait until things seem pretty dry, and then I put on InstaDry, by OPI, on myself, which I bring to the salon. That takes care of it, but I'm careful to not bump into anything. If I do, Orly has a smudge fixer polish, and I use that.
Generally you pay for the service and tip before you get the polish applied, just let the tech know that you will need a total before he or she polishes so you won't mess the job up. As far as shoes or sandals....bring sandals, like flip flops along, but the salon should not expect you to leave before you are dry enough to remove the spacers and get you shoes on with our goofing your toes up...same goes with you fingers. Usually you can just move to another seat and sit and read a magazine for 15 minutes, that usually will be enough time to get the polish dry enough, but be care for a few hours as it takes that long before it hardens.
I feel your pain! I've only had a few, but I've made sure to watch others while I'm there. That's the first thing you can do for some tips! Most of those ladies go every week!

Usually if I'm getting both a pedicure %26amp; a manicure, they ask me to pay before they began to polish my nails. If they don't ask me, I'll ask them if I can. Then I go ahead and pay and tip at that point. Then you don't have to worry about your nails getting messed up. As far as your pedicure, I always make sure to wear flip-flops. Those are the best to wear right after you finish up. But the best, best, best tip is to wait as long as you can before you leave to let ALL your nails dry as much as possible. Keep them under those flourescent lights and fans as long as time permits. You don't want to waste all that money you just spent! Oh, and be sure to get your keys, sunglasses, etc. out of your purse before they start to polish your nails. That way your not fumbling around for anything in your purse afterwards.

VERY EXCELLENT QUESTION. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING ALL THE OTHER ANSWERS! A STAR FOR YOU!
When getting my manicure/pedicure, I always stay a few extra minutes, maybe 2 or 3 minutes extra to make sure that they are really dry.

I hope this helps you some.
keep the money for the services in one part of your wallet.

get pedi first; get out wallet and keep it in your lap during your mani; after the mani hold your wallet so the person who is ringing you up can grab the money for your services.

this is how i've taught my clients.

by the time your nails are done the toes are dry. only have to dry the fingers (which doesn't take long under the lamp)

NEVER TIP BEFORE THE SERVICE IS COMPLETED

i never accept a tip before the service is completed so i would never expect a tip before i'm done.
Well I think you've already gotten to the most important step in the you want to tip, so you are being very polite there. You don't need to tip everyone, you just need to tip the person who gives you the mani or pedi, and you can give her between 10 and 20 percent, depending on how good of a job she did. If you are worried about messing up your nails, you can pay before hand. I always wear thong sandals to get a pedi, and I never have a problem with them messing up my toenails. I usually sit under the heat lamps for a while. You can sit for an extra time if you're worried about it though, they'll give you a magazine to read. As for your fingernails, just be careful not to chip them on your keys when you're getting into your car, you can even ask the manicurist to get your keys out of your purse for you (I've done this before)

Remember to relax and enjoy the foot bath and the massage, it's about pampering and not stressing about chips - have fun!!! :)
    1. wear flip flops... if it's cold/wet out make sure everything is completely dry before you put on other shoes.

    2. tip/pay ahead of time

    3. should be some kind of drying session so you should be able to pay/tip after that
pay before hand, and ask them to keep the toe seperaters in after the do your pedicure. and sit under the nail dryer for a while so that you dont mess up your nails
for manicures, try to use the pads of your fingers instead of the tips untill it stops feeling gummy on you fingers. and for pedicures wear sandals and when you are walking around lift your toes up a little bit!
First and foremost of course, wear flip flops. Any good salon will have you wait until your toenails are completely dry, then they will help put your sandals on for you to avoid messing it up. For fingernails, they should offer this but if they don't, ask to pay before they paint them. And yes, paying in cash is always best, I do $5 tip per service.
    sandals work
what? haha its not that hard. pay before with yer nails and you have to go it slow but you can put yer sandals on without messing yer toes up.
