I gave myself a pedicure a couple days ago. I've done this before and never had any problems. This time though, my heels have turned a purpleish color and they are very painful... especially when I stand or walk. I've always used one of those razor skin shaver thingys and have always done well with them. But this time I guess I could have gone a little too deep. Anyway, I need advice on getting my feet back to their non painful state as quickly as possible. Any tips would be appreciated.Painful heels after pedicure...?
THe gel paddings won't work, you still gonna feel it. There's isn't actually something you can do to make the pain go away because there's too much skin taken off and your feet are sensitive. You could put a nice mask on your feet or a soothing camomile lotion at night wearing thick socks to soothe them a little. But, next time, cut only till it's pinkish in colour and don't do it when your feet is dry(you probably knew that)lol, do it just after a nice hot bath or after your feet have been soaked in the foot-spa. Use Lemon grass essential oil in your foot spa-(it smells lovely and kills any germ that comes across it). HAVE A NICE HOME PEDICURE.

Keep them moisturized, use ointments to help with infections. I know your pain I went and got a pedi and the man did the same thing you did. It took about a week for the pain to go completely away. GOOD LUCK!!!
Never use a razor to cut away skin always use pumice stone, it can be very easy if you soak your feet first until the dead skin is white. G o to a doctor to make sure there are no infections first.
there are these special gel paddings they make which you can put in your shoes. buy those and wear them until the skin grows back. good luck.
have you ever considered trying Olay Thermal pedicure its new and you put it on your feet every day for ten days. it works because i tried it. its hell of a lot better than getting skin scraped off your feet which can lead to scarring
gel pad to relief you temporary and when you are home soak in epsom salt....
there isn't much you can do for the pain. i graduated from beauty school a few months ago and the first thing we learned about is how harmful and unsanitary the razors are for you. a good alternative is this little thing that looks like a cheese grater, it takes of callus' well without digging into the skin. i hope your feet feel better soon!
