Active baby after pedicure?

I just got a pedicure tonight (Im a little over 37 weeks) and the baby is going crazy! Did this happen to anyone else?? It is moving so much that it hurts!Active baby after pedicure?
I am only 25 weeks with my first so I am not speaking from any kind of experience... I did just recently hear though that some salons won't give very pregnant women pedicures because it can cause contractions. I heard it from a friend who has been a manicurist (sp?) for the last 10 years. She said they haven't had any problems at her salon and do them for anyone. Personally, I plan on scheduling a pedicure at about 39 weeks. It would definately be safe for me to go into labor then AND I'll have cute toenails for the delivery! I hope you have a safe delivery and congratulations!!Active baby after pedicure?
I think it has more to do with the baby dropping or preparing to come meet you.

Although, there are pressure points on the feet (like around the heel area) that can lead you into having contractions. Maybe they hit these trigger points which cause your little one to react.

I say you're gonna go into labor soon tho! Good luck, let us know what happens!
it proly had nothing to do with the pedicure....i dont think the baby gets that restless wen someone does your feet....u could have the baby any time now tho....good luck and congratulations!!!!!!!!
just a coincidence. My baby is crazy today too, maybe its in the water!!
there are loads of pressure points in the feet, they connect to every part of the body, so it has probably affected the baby. i am sure it will calm down!
It sounds as if you are getting ready to head into labor.. Im not saying that it is going to happen tonight but maybe within the week.. My sister had a pedicure done, and her baby went crazy with the movements that night the next day there was no movement at all.. About 2:30 in the morning we were at the hospital waiting on the arrival of my neice.. Try to relax and enjoy the movements. I know my baby has been nonstop with his movements today, and at times it hurts..
