  • Pedicure an manacure for men?

what do you think of a man getting his hands or feet done?

woud you feel comfterbull if he was sitting nex to you getting hid feet done too mosy spys are 98% woman

i work contruction im in boots allday an my hands get dry

tell me what you thinkPedicure an manacure for men?
hell yeah! There's nothing more sexy than a guy who takes care of himself. I try to get my man to get a pedicure or manicure with me all the time! But i've only got him to go twice. But there's nothing wrong with taking care of yourself. Go for it if you need it. They aren't just for women.Pedicure an manacure for men?
go for it!!! Show's you care about your body and what you look like. If you're in boots all day the pedi will be awesome... I'm in heels all day adn LOVE it.
i think its cute that a guy will do something more feminine for once lets us know
There is nothing wrong with pampering yourself and keeping your body parts up to date clean!

My BF does it and I think its fun when he joins me!
Honestly i dont think nothing is wrong wit it but u shouldnt do it all of the time
A man who thinks enough of himself to have a manicure/pedicure is OK in my book. My husband has me do his nails once a week, and he loves it. He says it's really relaxing and calming for him, plus it makes his hands super-smoothe for my massages.
My wife is a nailtech and she has almost as many male clients for pedicures as she does females. But she has more female clients for manicures.
well i am a guy and have a manicure on 2 seprate occasions and wouldnt mind a pedicure.

i am more then willing to give both of them a try...also im not gay im married with my awesome baby boy

    Broc
I think a man is entitled to a mani/pedi just like a woman is. What woman wouldn't love a partner who was well-groomed? I think it would take a lot of confidence for a man to go to a salon and do the mani/pedi thing, but it would be sexy as heck to me!!
yes u can there is nothing wrong
I think its ok, but if it were me I would rather someone come to my house and do it there......

    Pedicure ideas...read below?

Im getting my toes done and i dont know what design i should as my pedicure. I want something thats really unique/crazy that stands out but that is also really cute. Im up for any ideas that you have done or personally seen done. My foots a size 5 and i just want them to look really cute w/ a cool design. Whats some different ones u seen that were really cool or cute.Pedicure ideas...read below?
Have black toes and white or silver stars on them. The black makes them look smaller and if you don't like black then purple has the same affect.Pedicure ideas...read below?
I avoid doing the whole picture thing on my toes. I however painted my toenails bright green once. They looked cute in my pink sandals and people kept starring at my toes.
like a skull and cross bones but get a heart and roses :)

    Do-it-yourself manicure and pedicure?

does anyone know how to do a manicure and pedicure on your own at home?Do-it-yourself manicure and pedicure?
start by soaking your feet . . . then remove previous nail polish . . . buff feet with a pumice stone and moisturize. separate toes and push back cuticles and paint nails . . . clean up any errors with a bit of remover on a cotton swab,

follow the same steps for the hands . . . but eliminate the pumice stone if you don't have crazy thick callouses

Do guys get MANICURE & PEDICURE nowadays?

I believe it's a good thing. Isn't it? I bet ladies appreciate. Don't you? Thanks.Do guys get MANICURE %26amp; PEDICURE nowadays?
Of course, I get my nails done once a week. Can't deny it feels fantastic to have some shiny nails!Do guys get MANICURE %26amp; PEDICURE nowadays?
well i think naturally guys may pay more attention to their hands, keeping them trimmed (nails) so a pedicure would be more suitable, since nto much attention is payd in that area..

but still, guy not so big on that stuff unless he a little metrosexual, (which is not a bad thing) unless they over do it, then its jsut creepy.

Have you ever had a pedicure where they pumice the TOP of your feet?

This bloody stump look is NOT GOOD.Have you ever had a pedicure where they pumice the TOP of your feet?
GOD, no. Those pedicure people are freakin' BRUTAL. My mother and my friends are always coming back with such stories. I do my own!Have you ever had a pedicure where they pumice the TOP of your feet?
OUCH! That would hurt like the dickens!
Never have, is that the way they are suppose to do it?
No never. They aren't suppose to do that. I bet that does hurt.
kinda makes you want to commit hate crimes against Koreans once your feet heal.
Hope you didn't tip them for that. Did they hit ya with the peroxide too?
NO....the top of my feet are silky smooth. All 6 toes.

Is it ok for a guy to get a french pedicure?

It is absolutely acceptable. It's about time men took the same amount of effort that women do to look good. Good onya!!!Is it ok for a guy to get a french pedicure?
if hes in a drag show, sureIs it ok for a guy to get a french pedicure?
Why not. I want my man to be secure enough with his sexuality that he isn't afraid to take care of himself to include getting a pedicure or even waxing his brow, but not afraid to go dirt biking with me. A well kept man is a Sexy Man in my book. Live Life to the Fullest and Enjoy Every Minute Of It.....

  • What happens during a pedicure?

Different places have different packages that you can get but in general they'll have you soak your feet in hot water to soften up the skin before trimming your cuticles and using a pumice stone to smooth away calluses. Most places will also do a foot and lower calf massage with lotion. Lastly, they will paint your nails the color of your choosing.

Variations include a more thorough callus removal, paraffin wax which is just a really intense moisturizer, salt or sugar scrubs, etc. What happens during a pedicure?
    omggg its absolutely horrible!

NOT!!! they massage your legs and paint your toes...it feels awesomeWhat happens during a pedicure?
ha depends on what they do.

In the summer should a guy get a pedicure & would a woman?

In the summer should a guy get a pedicure %26amp; would a woman notice if he were to have one . (would you notice if he used clear nail polish)

I have never gotten a pedicure but i notice that when i take care of my feet in conjunction with good grooming exercise that women can detect a foot fetishy vibe .In the summer should a guy get a pedicure %26amp; would a woman?
I wish more men would get pedicures. In the summer should a guy get a pedicure %26amp; would a woman?
yes I would, but what's wrong with that.....

I have problem with my foot,i had pedicure 2 months ago,it wound, until now it is not healed.?

i used to took antibiotic as advised by my friends.how can i cured this?I have problem with my foot,i had pedicure 2 months ago,it wound, until now it is not healed.?
Ther have been reports of antibiotic resistant strep skin infections that have been linked to unsanitary pedicure spa's. It started in Watsonville CA and was featured on 20/20. You need to have a Dr. check it and as the above poster mentioned, get screened for diabetes. ALWAYS, bring your own instuments. I got an infection a few years ago where they had to remove all of my toenails. The spa's are supposed to be disinfected after each patron, but if you sit and watch they usually dont do it correctly because they are trying to cram as many customers in as they can and they use dirty files almost 99% of the time.I have problem with my foot,i had pedicure 2 months ago,it wound, until now it is not healed.?
Go to the doctor. If you have been through someone else's antibiotics and it hasn't worked, you should go to the doctor and get it seen to.
See a doctor and ask for a diebetic test.It is important you have it examined .
Go see a podiatrist. Maybe you have a bad infection that needs stronger meds to heal. I hope you never go back to that salon. Always ensure they clean the tubs and never have them cut your cuticles (always push back).

Better yet do it yourself to be safe.

** Look for this product online: Be Natural Callus Remover and they have a cuticle remover also -- great product.
I had some foot fungus problem which come and go. I got cure after seeing the skin specialist and spent a lot of $$$. Then after a year the fungus comes back again. I manage to cure it now after trying the acid-alkaline diet.

Maybe you should control your diet. You could be taking too much acid into your body.

If you go and get a manicure or pedicure?

No way. Didn't go to a hair dresser in the last 25 years. My wife do my hair. Nails ? You just break them or bite them off if they break. Once in a while you cut them.
Never but if anyone does who cares
I've never had either, but I always end up giving them to my GF,

Where is a $30.00 manicure and pedicure place in Las Vegas?

My budget for these services is $30.00-40.00.Where is a $30.00 manicure and pedicure place in Las Vegas?
they are off the strip in the suburbs, i saw them driving around town, but I don't recall,, but best to get the answer you seek here at-http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/

ask the local here....Where is a $30.00 manicure and pedicure place in Las Vegas?
I'm a native %26amp; trust me, they are VERY expensive out here. Especially on the strip!

Foot massage/pedicure/soak machine... what to put in it?

I have a great foot massage/pedicuresoak machine (requires warm water).

It has jets and makes bubbles, so I can't put regular soap in it (I've tried that before... I had a bubble bath all over my bedroom floor!!!). It requires no-bubble foot soak or soap.

I have a bottle of ';Freeman: Bare Foot Foot Soak';. I put some in running hot water. It bubbled a bit, but not too much. I don't know if it will turn into a bubbly mess though!

Is there anything else I can put into it? I think bath salt would work, but I have none on me. I do have sea salt.

Any suggestions?Foot massage/pedicure/soak machine... what to put in it?
    sea salt would work

you can put like aromatherapy oils in too that u can get frm like the body shop that make ur feet smell great and dont bubbleFoot massage/pedicure/soak machine... what to put in it?
Put some essential oil of lavender in. Thats really good for your feet. Doesnt form bubbles because its greasy and not soapy. Helps moisturise your feet too.
Try using aromatherapy oils. Eucalyptus and peppermint are good ones for the feet and they won't bubble.

    Getting a pedicure done ?

ok i want to go to a salon and get a pedicure i was think like maybe a french pedicure but i am guy. how do you tip the pedicurist, are most places friendly with a guy getting a pedicure with the nail polishGetting a pedicure done ?
Unless the place has really crap service they'll treat a guy same as a girl...get a recommendation from a friend for where to go.

Pedicurist tips are often like at a hair salon, up front by the desk you can probably leave an envelope w/ tip (15% or $5).Getting a pedicure done ?
You can tip when you pay, or not at all.

It is not at all unusual for a guy to get a pedicure. It feels great to have all the dry skin removed, and the place I go to gives awesome 15-minute foot-and-shin massages by beautiful Vietnamese women as part of the deal.

    Should Diabetics Pedicure?

I'm a diabetic in the habit of pedicuring. Recently, I saw the sore toes of a fellow diabetic. They were so bad that the doctors were considering amputating them. Now I wonder..should a diabetic pedicure? How often should a diabetic pedicure if you think it is okay to do so?Should Diabetics Pedicure?
Actually doctors say diabetics should not get a pedicure, the toe nails should not ever be cut just filed. Diabetics don't heal as well from cuts or scrapes and also don't notice them all the time unless we inspect our feet daily which we are suppose to do. You can go to a Podiatrist to have your toe nails cut.

That being said I can't live without my pedicures so I make sure I use a good nail tech to do my pedicures. So it is up to you and you can talk to your doctor but I do it every couple months.Should Diabetics Pedicure?
My Dad was diabetic and he was told it was important to look after his feet especially his toenails, something to do with the possibility of getting problems with circulation due to in growing toenails. Indeed his Doctor arranged for him to have his feet and toes done every few weeks, the works, he felt quite pampered he had better feet than me. So personally I don't see a problem as long as it's done professionally after all you're just looking after yourself and that can't be a bad thing. All the best.
You pay attention to them, look after them, and there's no reason why you can't have a pedicure.

Go to a decent salon, preferably one that understands the fact your diabetic.

Enjoy, relax. There really shouldn't be a problem as long as you keep an eye on your feet.
Yes certainly - but it is best to have it done by a professional chirpodist who is aware of your condition. And generally, you can get that service free.
Yes actually if your diabetic it's good to get pedicures
Yes It is essential to look after your feet.
you need to see a chiropodist NOT a salon!
why not if done by a professional?

What can i do about very dry cracked heels? i wear open toe shoes everyday and get weekly pedicures?

i heard putting cream on feet after soaking them and putting socks on all night helps is this true? What can i do about very dry cracked heels? i wear open toe shoes everyday and get weekly pedicures?
If I could suggest, the foot counter at our CVS Walgreens or Meijer there will be creams specifically made for cracked heals. use them according to directions. Any other extended problem with feet or nails visit your Podiatrist .What can i do about very dry cracked heels? i wear open toe shoes everyday and get weekly pedicures?
it does, also vasacaline or a more protective barrier to hold mositure. also baby powder with lotion works well in a pair of socks at night
Here is my 2 cents and you have to do it at least 3 times a day by apply good lotion into your body as well as your feet. After you take shower you need to do it well.Good luck. By the way, putting socks after apply your lotion will help as well.
Apply intensive foot cream to repair the cracked area and try this feet treatment regularly for better feet.

    Tips here:

    http://www.home-skin-beauty-make-up-tips鈥?/a>
Good question. Try using vaseline or any petroleum jelly at night. Apply a generous amount to your feet rubbing in what you can and then put on some socks. When you shower at night use a pumice stone on your heals and apply the vaseline then. Make this a habit. Your feet should be fine in about 2-3 weeks.
That should help. Also, I usually always put food cream or some kind of lotion on my feet before wearing shoes and/or socks in the daytime. Also, try using a pumice stone to smooth out the cracks.

I'm a man and i gotta' pedicure. am i wrong?

i just got my a.ssed kicked today for getting a pedicure, i got them painted red and green, and when i walked out with my flipflops on and showed them off, a bunch of black folk came and just beat the living nailpolish out of me. any tips? thanks.I'm a man and i gotta' pedicure. am i wrong?
Tip: Grow up and stop posting dumb-a$$ questions!!!I'm a man and i gotta' pedicure. am i wrong?
    Wear closed toe shoes.
Er... I don't think it's wrong per se... maybe a little odd to actually get polish other than clear, but whatever floats your boat, right?

Did they seriously beat you up over that? eez, where do you live? I guess I'm just so used to where I live, it's very common here for people to blur traditional gender lines. And I'm in a conservative small town!

That having been said, I guess if people around you can't handle you expressing your style and you can't handle them, remove the polish and do clear. It'll still maintain the clean neat look of a pedi, without drawing attention to your feet.
    This is a joke, right?
I dont think it is wrong for a man to get a pedicure if he just gets them to clean the feet, but I dont think men should get their nails polished!!!
You are obviously not gay. A gay man would have coordinated his colors much better.

I think you were asking for it. That is weird for a boy.
Heres a tip, try not being gay.
Its cool that a man takes care of himself but wearing those funky colors....no.

    AND

why do you have to specify the race of who beat you?
Yeah, get clear polish next time.
My tip is to come out of the closet.

    A pedicure? Really?
Grow up,and go do them again.....DUH
haha! this isnt funny... if this is true then your homo...
    you deserved it.
the pedi actually a really good idea but you went wrong w/ the colour
    ?
aww im sorry that happened too you

maybe get clear next time you get a pedicure? or dont get them polished at all? but i mean if you really want them colored thats fine!! if you are self conscious about it you could wear closed toed shoes.

i dont think its wrong though, youre just being yourself!! dont let others bring you down!! you take good care of yourself and a lot of women find that attractive! i would prefer your feet over a man with stinky, dirty feet!!

    good luck with this!
Men will always get the P**s taken out of them for doing these ';girlie'; things. But what's the harm in a man taking care of himself. I find it rather appealing...Just as long as he isn't in the bathroom longer than me in the morning.
Pedicure is okay for guys to have but not nail polish unless your considering yourself a female. Hope the guys taught you a lesson. or at least if you like to have nail polish don't wear flip flops wear shoes to cover them and only show them off when your alone.
lol, your not wrong for getting your feet cared for. but you are wrong for having your nails painted.
Only if your significant other made you............(spouse, gf)
    Your still a man.
my husband gets pedicures but no polish that is a little to girly.
    i hope you're joking
I've heard of guys taking their feet seriously and all, getting a scrub kind of pedicure so they don't look nasty -- but nail polish?

Man - what were you thinking?
OMG no thats fine. It takes a real man to get their nails done..or ever to walk in a nail salon...and personally, i think that if a guy has his nails painted it shows that he has a very strong character and isnt afraid to do what he wants. Don't let other ppl bother you about it..there prbly just jealous cause they dont have enough guts to do the same!
Red and green? Seriously? There's nothing wrong with a guy getting a pedicure but when you start putting tacky colored polish on your toes...that's a big problem. I thought gay men had better taste....
You got a pedicure don't worry your not a man no more
Pedicures for men - OK - my hubby gets them a couple of times a year. HOWEVER!!!!, clear nailpolish seems to be the safest color, don't you?!
Maybe being a little less vain in public would save your butt.
    Are you serious?

I know that diddy gets his nails done, but i really doubt he EVER got them polished!

For your own sake i suggest taking the polish off and NEVER get them painted AGAIN.
Just think how cool it would have been if all those black folk had got there faces smashed by a guy with painted toenails!

There is a place called ';The Spa'; on Maryland between Broadway and Wilson (closer to Broiadway on the West side of the street) that has a good reputation. They haven't been open that long and I hear they work extra hard on new clients in attempt to win them over.

  • I'm getting ready to give my self a manicure and a pedicure! what color should i use to paint???

i dont like dark colors! i like bright girly colors!I'm getting ready to give my self a manicure and a pedicure! what color should i use to paint???
I think the best thing is a french manicure. But if you don't want to have a french manicure all summer here is what I do:

I paint my nails with french manicure polish. Then I take a thin acrylic overlay to protect it. Then if you choose to wear a different color that matches your outfit all you have to do is apply two coats over the french manicure to change the color.

Then if you want to go back to the french manicure all you have to do is use NON-ACETONE nail polish to take of the polish and then you will have your french manicure back.

This is so convenient because french manicure goes with anything and if you don't have time to polish your nails you can still have a great look for summer.

All of my nail clients love this! Give it a try!

Good luck to you!I'm getting ready to give my self a manicure and a pedicure! what color should i use to paint???
If you want to keep it soft, then shimmery pinks and corals are real pretty. Solid color polish comes off a bit stronger than a frost does.
Whenever I do this myself( instead of seeing a professional) I use the pink color that's normally used for french. I think sally Henson makes one called french. It looks natural and pretty and your natural nail shows through so it looks kinda like a french. Plus it still looks good even when it chips.
you should do a french manicarie with white and the clear stuff thats pretty but for you toes you should do a pink or brigth color and put poke a dots on the toes ask you mom to do it thought or you can use a color that you like and is bright like pink and there is lots more
    light pink
Hot Pink so you could look hot
light green! With pink polka dots!
Then definitely use like a bright blue metallic or a lavender purple color. Those are my favorites for summer. :)
    tropical colors
If it's your first manicure/pedicure I would use a soft transluscent color. that way you don't have to worry too much about applying the color. It can take some time to get good at applying color, especially to your dominant hand.
    coral...soft, summery, girlie color
Nice pinks, or pastel and u can even use like a cream nude like color or coral those are the in nail colors for this season.
well then purple not dark but light.
    light orange
';Not really waitress'; from OPI, beautiful bright red
    pink or a french tip

    Fish pedicure in miami?

There are salons that do that???

Whats the Best Design for a pedicure???

The french manicure is soo classy looking.Whats the Best Design for a pedicure???
a small flowerWhats the Best Design for a pedicure???
I'm not a fan of the french on toes, either. I think it makes them look long. Since I don't like to have or see long toenails, I can't imagine why I would want mine to look long even if they are well trimmed. I'd go with a solid color.
    french manicure(in this case pedicure)

    one of these 3 colors:

    sheer white and white tip

    light pink and white tip

light pale peach and white tip
hate the french on the toes - just doesn't look right - every season has a ';color'; right now for summer coral is hot - toes only!!! keep them trimmed well and that with a tan and a splash of coral polish = beautiful feet
flowers on the big toe or u can do a french pedicure with little nail jewel things. they look so cute!
French, with a small flower and diamond stone in the center of the flower, very classy and pretty!!
I love flowers! But french mani/pedi is cute, too. I like to put either a line right underneath where the line starts or put a jewel on the index finger/big toe.
I personally think that a french pedicure/manicure would be best. Another idea would be you choosing the theme (such as paradise, shopping) and have the nail stylist see if it is possible. The best design for a pedicure is what you like!! :-)

    Hope this will help you.
I once got my initials on my big toes.
    french manicure\pedicure
I like flowers or swirly designs
The best desighns for a pedicure is either a solid color with a small airbrush flower on the big toe, or keep it simple with a nice white french.

    Manicure & pedicure prep?

What should I do before getting my nails and toenails done? Should I wipe off my current nail polish? Trim my nails? Shave my legs? Wax? Thanks!Manicure %26amp; pedicure prep?
this is coming straight from a nail tech....you dont have to do anything!!!! not even shave your legs....to be honest we dont look at that....a professionally speaking its best that you dont shave your legs prior to getting a pedicure due to the fact that your legs will be massaged and if you have freshly shaven legs that could irratate them so its best that you shave after the pedicure....just relax you're supposed to enjoy the service not worry about what the nail tech is thinking about you, your nails, toes or hairy legsManicure %26amp; pedicure prep?
Just shave your legs, that's all. They'll do the rest.
    just shave that's all
First and foremost, wash your hands thoroughly and after that using a small cotton with acetone(nail polishe remover) remove your nail polish. And then you can trim your nail, put cuticle softener, and use a pusher to remove the upper layer of your nails. After that remove your cuticles by using a cuticle remover and then its ready to be nail polished. same thing goes with your toenails
Don't do anything.. cutting your nails and removing old polish is part of the pedicure. You don't even have to wash your feet.. they soak them in hot water first!

But make sure you bring a decent pair of flipflops to wear home.. don't want to smudge a fresh pedicure, and the disposable ones from the spa are impossible to walk or drive in :)

Enjoy your trip to the spa :)

Should a man get a manicure? Pedicure?

I heard this on a morning show the other day. My wife has tried to get me to try it but I just can't bring myself to do it. Any thoughts?Should a man get a manicure? Pedicure?
why not dont walk around like a caveman:D you dont need any nail polish or something like that. Meaby you just need to lose skin around your nails or something like that.

But if you think your nails are oke dont go and ask your wife why shud you go:DShould a man get a manicure? Pedicure?
Don't you do a manicure and pedicure on your own already?

I don't think it would be any wise doing this in a beauty salon as we guys we just don't leave long nails, so, even if you'd professionally get it done, it won't be any different. It would be a total waste of money!

You can do a facial if you want as at least you'd benefit from that!
No! My gf keeps trying to convince me to go get a pedicure. Instead I told her she could do it for me. She cuts my toe nails, etc. Its like a pedicure in the privacy of your home. They have nail tools you could buy. She will feel needed and you get your nails taken care of without having to get embarrassed in front of a lot of people.
I knew alot of african american guys in my unit that got manicures, they showe dme their polished nails, the nail polish was invisible of course, i just thought they were trying to look alll pimped out.
Everybody deserves someone pampering them. You could always get one, see how it goes and make a judgment from there.
I see nothing wrong with a man being well groomed, and that includes fingernails and toenails.
Give it a try and see if you like it dear.
No! Don't listen to your wife. She is trying to turn you gay!
yes you should you will love it ! nothing wrong with some manscaping !
I wouldn't go, just clip ur nails and clean the dirt out. Use the money you saved for something you really want!

DIRTY TOES-going to get 1st pedicure!! anyone else have embarassing toes when going?!?!?

This is like tought dirt/build up on my toes and i'm going for the 1st time. will she be disgusted?DIRTY TOES-going to get 1st pedicure!! anyone else have embarassing toes when going?!?!?
Ya, she probabaly will be. But, maybe not, cuz it's her or his job to do, to clean feat. So there probably used to it. Just think, they have to clean old people feet probably every day.

    gross

%26lt;3333DIRTY TOES-going to get 1st pedicure!! anyone else have embarassing toes when going?!?!?
Well probably not becuase if you are payed to do that you shouldnt be. And just a tip: bring your own stuff. (tweezers, filers, scissors) Most of the time the people at those nail places dont sanitize their utensils as well as they should and other peoples dirt and sometimes blood (yes blood) is left on it.
Probably but that's there job. Just explain that's it's ur first time, she should understand.
    Nobody will care.

That's why people go in there in the first place.

Even if you had extreme fungus, they would just find a way to fix it.

You'll be fine, and good luck

Does a REAL man get a pedicure?

I have been told that if I am to ';blend'; with the people I associate with I should pay more attention to my pediatral image. (is that a word?) Well anyway, I am used to simply smashing my toenails with a hammer and letting them (in about a week) fall off. Bingo new toenails. And clean too. It just seems kind of wossy to have somebody play with my feet.Does a REAL man get a pedicure?
If you have the money you can pay for any service you desire. Personally, I like to take care of certain grooming needs of a partner...the couple who grooms together stays together, like the primates. You should use Rashed's daughters since they are available...picture that, two adoring young women on their knees, looking up to you with big eyes and wide smiles, giggling, caressing your feet and toes....I hear you moaning already.Does a REAL man get a pedicure?
sounds like you have everything you need!

ya my boyfriend loves to get pedicures but, he does not get polish on his toes though.
if he has the money. i think a real man does if he likes to be well groomed. he could still be and look manly. that's just telling me he's clean. now if it looks femine with nail polish hell no. women like men with nice hands and feet as long as they still look like strong manly hands and feet.
I would much rather see a man with nicely trimmed toenails than someone who lets them go for extended periods of time without caring for them - but then I am a licensed cosmetologist, so I tend to look at those things. My husband of 13 years has never trimmed his toenails since we've been married..... because I do it for him all the time - so maybe instead of paying someone else to do it for you, learn to do it properly yourself, or have a lady friend take it on.
real man? i just want to know where you and your barefooted friends are ';associating.'; I want to avoid these places. Go back to blending with normal folks who wear shoes and bite those stinky toenails off when they stick out the end of your high top flip flops.
I couldn't agree more, if anybody plays with my feet they get a good kick, that's what feet are for. By the way, I think the word is ';podastrial';.
    No only fags do.
I would be totally turned off if I saw a dude in the pedicure chair. That is very girly and not sexy at all.
I know an 80 year old man who got one recently. I believe that he is a real man, too!
why? you not secure enough to try something new? afraid of what people are going to think of you?

there's nothing wrong with a pedecure, it feels good, and it's good for your feet. you stand on them all the time, smash them with hammers (ouch!), you can afford to treat them good once in a while.
    dude *** no

    a real gay man maybe
sexy hands and feet are important.
i can't see myself ever being with a man that gets a pedicure. that is so fem!!
What type of people do you associate with? Dancers? Interior decorators? If you are a carpenter or a steel worker then I don't think your friends would want you to get a pedicure. If you are ';changing'; or ';coming out of the closet'; then I would suggest on getting the pedicures cuz that's just the right thing to do in order to blend in.
Who the hell wants to look at a man's foot in a business situation? Oh, you are in THAT business are you? Well, um dude, sorry I cannot help you there.

    -Dio
    WHY NOT.

I have seen some really bad looking toes on men.
I don't see anything wrong with a man getting a pedicure once a month or so... I'd have to think more about it if you asked about a mani...

There are soooo many much more important things that determine the eternal question of 'what makes a 'real' man'... ;-)

But why do the pedi just to 'fit in'? If whoever doesn't like u because you don't do the pedi thing, tough, on them! ;-) If you prefer the hammer, new clean nails in a week routine, by all means, continue. :-)
men don't have pedicures or manicures. come on now. that's so gay. men are rugged, they aren't supposed to act like women. my man chews his fingernails and tears the tips off his toenails. I would call my husband a fag if he ever went and got a pedicure. ^.~ if my husband wants his feet rubbed, I will do so.
    check out Manlaws.com

    a man shall not recieve any service that ends in ';cure';
Any guy who would actually sit in a chair and have some girl pamper his feet is gay or bisexual. Period.

Same goes for guys who wear sandals. No one wants to see your hairy feet. Feet are supposed to be small and cute, not big, bulky and ugly.

Any guy who wears sandals is gay.

Whats the age group of men that you see get pedicures or manicures?

    My guess would be 25-35

*they're pushing it, but it just shows that they care about themselves and the way they look, which is completely normal. Each person finds different things attractive. I wouldn't necessarily call it funny.Whats the age group of men that you see get pedicures or manicures?

    First pedicure visit?

I am going to get a pedicure tomorrow, and I was wondering a few things:

Does it hurt when they cut off a hangnail?

What do they do if you have a planter's wart on your foot?

    What design should I get?

What if I'm a little tickle-ish?First pedicure visit?
Pedicures are wonderful, you will feel completely refreshed after and will keep going for them after the first.

No pain is involved, they will gently shave off rough callouses and warts. Design? go all out get a french manicure with a daisy and a rhinestone in the middle it looks fantastic. If you are ticklish, yes you will be in edge of your seat tears when then scrub your feet, but that all passes and you melt away when they massage those achey feet and legs. Have fun and enjoy.First pedicure visit?
Don't worry! I've gotten a ton and they don't hurt. You should get pink nails and if you are ticklilsh, bring something to squeeze.
hangnails don't hurt when they cut them off if you have a planters wart they'll just smooth it down but it won't get rid of it and just get a solid color and it's ok to laugh if your ticklish just remember that if you jerk a little b/c it tickles it'll probly get messed up
if you are ticklish try not to laugh and hold onto the seat tightly it worked for me

you should get the french manicure very pretty

a hangnail does not hurt so dont be scared
It doesn't hurt when they cut off a hangnail unless it's infected.

I'm not sure what they do if there's a wart on your foot, but I'm pretty sure they just ignore it.

For a design, you should pick a color and maybe get like a flower or a fireworks design on one of your big toes.

It's okay to be a little ticklish, but definitely avoid splashing the water and kicking them in the face, lol!

    Just relax and have fun!:)
no it hang nails dont hurt

just tell them u have a wart and to be careful around it

    what ever u want

it doesnt matter if u are tickle ish i am very tickle ish and when they do certain things i start cracking up laughing sothey laugh to they dont care
Hey I think Pedicures are hot!! They look very sexy exspecally with a toe ring. If this is your first visit don't be scared it wont hurt at all. After they do it have them put some art on your toe. Your choice. Hope it looks good!!

    Check this pic out!!

    http://photos-878.friendster.com/e1/phot鈥?/a>
The only thing that really hurts is when you have a hangnail that hasn't been cut off. It might twinge a little, like if someone pinched you, when they cut it off by not really.

Just let them know that you have this and they will be extra gentle.

I like a light pink polish with an aqua and white kind of swirly design. Or bright red with a white swirly design. Try not to get the stickers they put on, those come off really easily.

You should be fine. I'm wicked tickle-ish and when I get pedicures I barely notice it. Just relax and have a good time!

Im scared to get a pedicure for the first time for some reason.im afraid they might think my foot are ugly?

Ahahahaa! Don't be! Pedi's are amazing and if you're feet are ugly, which i'm sure they arent that bad, they'll be beautiful afterwards!

If you're selfconsciences about your feet to begin with, a pedi will help so much!

just think of all the nasty old grandma feet and smelly toes they already deal with. They've seen the worst already so don't worry!

My best advice is just to shower and wash your feet before you go.

    and wear shorts or capris!

have fun!!Im scared to get a pedicure for the first time for some reason.im afraid they might think my foot are ugly?
they dont care how your feet look....they'll still touch them! my mom and sister have really scary looking feet....they still wrorrked on them...just go...its fun! if your feet are ticklish....you'll spend it laughing! i promise...just go!Im scared to get a pedicure for the first time for some reason.im afraid they might think my foot are ugly?
I am a licensed nail tech and let me tell you nobody's feet are ';pretty';. We see it all and we don't think anything about anyone's feet. We are there to offer a service and if you go to a reputable nail tech for your pedicure you will be handled in a professional manner. Pedicures are wonderful! Don't let your insecurities rob you of this experience.... just give it a try and if you don't like it you won't have to return but at least go for the new experience. Life is short...enjoy the journey!
I think probably everyone feels that their feet are the ugliest in the world, I know I do! But having a pedi is heaven on earth, you will love it. It's my favorite pampering thing to do. Enjoy!
Don't worry about it. Your feet are fine they don't judge what your feet look like. Just go and have fun. =D
I was scared the first time too but only that I would laugh when they touched my feet. As for ugly feet believe me they have seen it all. More and more men are getting pedicures and I'm sure yours are not that bad. Get the pedicure you'll be glad that you did.
Ugly or not, they'll look great when you finish your pedicure! Well...people aren't supposed to see if their feet are ugly before getting a pedicure, because they go there to make them beautiful...don't they?

I'm sure your feet are not as ugly as you think! Well, don't be so self-concious! Don't bother about what they think! They'll probably tell you how to care more for your feet when you get there! So, be confident and get that pedicure done!
Omg me 2 im getting my first pedicure on the 25 and i thought the same thing ..

but i think there used to feet

and i bet the've seen worst
don't think that i went get a pedicure and my feet are horrible.

    Pedicure question?

This is really a 3-in-1 question:

what do I need to buy to give myself an at-home pedicure?

    tips for an at-home pedi?

and what pedi colors are hot right now?

    Thanks!Pedicure question?
What you need to do is to go to this website www.thebodyshopathome.com then find a consultant, and contact her. then get your friends together and you can have a group pedi. and if your friends buy stuff you can earn the whole foot kit that comes with a bucket. For free. I think this is the best way to go.Pedicure question?
buying the pedicure kit complete with filers, nail polish and toe spreaders works. The french pedicure is so in right know including a small design on your second to last toe. It's beautiful when it's finished. Enjoy!
A home pedicure is time consuming and expensive. I get it done at the salon.

want to add 1 鈥? teaspoons of salts or essential oil in the bath. The antibacterial, antiseptic mineral salts, peppermint essential oil and menthol helps refresh and energize your tired feet while the clove essential oil works to reduce bacteria, discomfort and foot odour.

First of all, prepare a basin, a toenail clipper, cuticle oil, a nail file, an orangewood stick, a pumice stone, a towel, two plastic bags, toe separators, cotton, nail-polish remover, top and base coats, and, of course, polish. Wipe off old polish with an acetone-based remover to lift oil and any residue from the nail plate. S oak your feet in a warm footbath. You might

As you remove each foot, apply a touch of cuticle oil to the nail bed. Push cuticles back with an orangewood stick; place your foot back in the water. Next, exfoliate. Dry one foot; Then smooth your favorite exfoliator--even on your leg, if you like. Rinse and repeat with the other foot. Calloused areas should be scrubbed with a pumice stone.

To replenish moisture and make feet glow, try a mask. Apply a generous amount all over the feet. Wrap each foot in a plastic bag before covering with a hot towel for five to ten minutes. Rinse feet, then smooth on an ultrarich cream. Massage cream onto the legs in a circular motion, starting from the knee down to the foot. For extra pleasure and relaxation, apply pressure to the balls of the feet and arches, ending with the heals.

You don't need to rush off to a salon before donning those open-toed shoes. Get your feet in tip-top shape at home.

    Steps:

    1. Remove any old nail polish thoroughly.

    2. Soak your feet in warm water for 10 to 15 minutes. Add Epsom salts or any other commercial foot soak.

    3. Clip your toenails straight across using a toenail clipper or scissors. Clipping straight across will help prevent ingrown toenails.

    4. File the toenails to smooth any rough edges.

    5. Push back your cuticles. Use a cuticle moisturizer if they do not push back easily after soaking.

    6. Massage your feet with a moisturizing lotion. Use an exfoliating lotion if the skin is dry and/or roughened. Use a loofah or pumice stone on roughened areas.

    7. Separate your toes. Put cotton between your toes, or use a ready-made device for pedicures.

    8. Apply a base coat and give it time to dry.

    9. Apply polish, cleaning up any stray marks with a cotton swab dipped in polish remover. Add a second coat for deeper color.

    10. Complete the pedicure with a top coat of clear polish.

    Tips:

Leave your shoes off for at least an hour or two to allow the polish to thoroughly dry.

File %26amp; Shape: After washing both your hands and feet, file the toenails so that they are short and neat. Be sure to round off the edges of the nail and trim any sharp corners so they do not dig into your skin.

Soak: Place your feet in the foot bath and allow them to soak for approximately 5 minutes. Dry feet thoroughly and apply cuticle oil if desired.

Push Cuticles: Using a cuticle pusher or orangewood stick, gently push back the cuticles on your toenails. You can trim the excess, dead cuticle with a pair of cuticle scissors or nippers.

Scrub %26amp; File: Using a nail brush, clean the toenails thoroughly, making sure to scrub both the tops and undersides of the nails. Next, use a foot file to gently slough off the raised, dead skin of calluses.

Massage %26amp; Rinse: Apply a generous amount of your favorite lotion, or a product specifically tailored to feet to your feet, ankles and lower legs, being sure to massage and rub it in thoroughly. Next, place your feet back in the foot bath, and rinse off the oils and lotions.

Base, Polish %26amp; Seal: After drying your feet thoroughly, apply a base coat of nail polish. Next, apply two coats of your favorite color nail polish. Be sure to use even swipes-only three per nail! Once this dries, apply a clear top coat of nail polish. After 30 minutes, or so, your nails should be completely dry and smudge-proof.

How to Give Yourself the Perfect French Pedicure?

The French pedicure. A French pedicure is a neutral option that makes almost any foot look good If your toenails are not your best feature, opt for clear, pearlized or pale-coloured nail varnish so as not to draw too much attention to them.

Follow the basic steps for a pedicure until you have applied a basecoat.

Apply white polish to the nail tip by starting at one side and sweeping across the nail in a single, steady movement. Keep the strip as narrow as possible. Repeat for all the nails.

Apply sheer pink, natural or peach polish over the entire nail, painting a strip of advertisement colour down the centre of the nail, then overlapping with a strip on either side, but avoiding the cuticles. Leave to dry thoroughly before applying a second coat.

Apply a clear topcoat to seal in colour. Leave to dry for as long as possible before putting on your shoes - at least an hour, as socks or tights can leave unsightly imprints if you rush the drying stage.
By the time you buy all the stuff for it, you will have spent more than you would pay at a salon..I'd just go let the pros do it. =) It's cheap anyway.. like 20 bucks, if even that.
These days its just easier to go and get a pedicure. They do such a great job at it....and its so relaxing. If you really want to do it on your own tho, you will need nail file, nail clippers, cuticle trimmers, pumice stone, pedi-bath to put in the water to soak your feet, cuticle cream to soften your cuticles before you trim, lotion, base coat, top coat and polish. The hot colors are bright pinks to deep reds.....
    get...

one of those things that have water and u put ur feet in to soak.

cliipers, buffer, filer, tweezers, cuticle massager, polish, lotion, towel, polish remover, and to get tips for a do it urself pedi...try....
This is for a full salon style pedicure. I should do all of this pampering for myself!!

    1 PREPARE

You will need a basin, a toenail clipper, cuticle oil, a nail file, an orangewood stick, a pumice stone, a towel, two plastic bags, toe separators, cotton, nail-polish remover, top and base coats, and, of course, polish. Wipe off old polish with an acetone-based remover to lift oil and any residue from the nail plate. Clip nails straight across, leaving a thin white edge, then file nails straight across.

    2 PAMPER

To create a spalike foot soak at home adding a capful of your favorite milk bath (very hydrating) to your basin of warm water Soak your feet for 15 minutes. As you remove each foot, apply a touch of cuticle oil to the nail bed. Push cuticles back with an orangewood stick, then place your foot back in the water. Next, exfoliate. Dry one foot, then smooth your favorite exfoliator--even on your leg, if you like.

    3 POLISH

Slip your toes into toe separators, and remove any pedicure product residue with cotton and polish remover. Then apply a base coat. The base coat acts like double-sided tape--it sticks to the nail and the polish. Now you're ready for polish. Can't decide on a color? The experts say when in doubt, look to beautiful reds and browns. Begin with a thin stroke of polish in the middle of the nail, then brush outward to cover the sides. Apply a second coat. Finish with a top coat for shine and to seal color. Allow at least an hour for your nails to dry.

As for the colors, look at the ';hot'; fingernail color displays in a store, use the same for your toenails.
OK , this is what you need to buy: polish, a topcoat, a foot scrub, pumice stone, and mousterizing (or however you spell that) body lotion, a shallow bowl. Tips: first soak your feet, then use the foot scrub. Afterwards use the pumice stone to get off any extra dead skin. Then use a little bit of the lotion. Rinse your feet 2 get off the rest of the lotion and start painting. Hot colors: the hottest color for toes are: coral( that's the most popular-i have it on right now!), lilac, and magenta. After u've painted your toes add cute little rhinestones!

    Pedicure etiquette?

I am getting my first pedicure and want to know how i should prepare. should i take off my old polish first? should i wear flip-flops to my appointment?Pedicure etiquette?
You can either take your old polish off first or not. You might get charged extra if they take it off for you, though. Wear flipflops so you don't mess up your pedicure when you leave.Pedicure etiquette?
sometimes i take my polish off, sometimes i don't. i dont think it matters. you dont have to wear flip flops but it makes things easier as nail shop flip flops are flimsy and a pain to walk in. plus you dont wanna mess up your pedi.
You don't have to take your old nail polish off, they can take it off for you. And yeah, wear flip-flops, it'll take a while for your nails to dry. Good Luck :)
i loove pedicures! first off, its best to shave your legs and you don't nesessarily have to take off your polish they can usually do that in a matter of seconds. it is best to wear flip flops so you don't have to take the ones they give you. enjoy yourself! hope this helped!
    Wear flip flops and shave.

    Home Manicure/Pedicure tips??

I have a lot of nail polish colors.

I can do french tips and polka dots well.

But I want to learn how to do flowers and other designs. I heard you can make designs with toothpicks. I tried but the tip is too sharp.

What else can I use without going out to buy a nail polish pen thing or anything? Or what can I do to make the most out of a toothpick while doing a manicure/pedicure?

Any mani/pedi design ideas? Home Manicure/Pedicure tips??
try using a dull pencil or breaking the toothpick to make it thicker.just experiment with different tools, you wont know until you try!lol

email me if you wanna bounce designs/ideas off each other ;D

    good luck! :DHome Manicure/Pedicure tips??
    1. swirls using a toothpick

    2. flowers http://www.elizabethnails.com/nails/clea鈥?/a>

    3. the little rose looks kinda simple http://bodytreats.files.wordpress.com/20鈥?/a>

    Hope these work!
To do flowers I use a toothpick, but first I cut the tip off of the toothpick so that the tip is a circle. I've also used the tip of sharpened pencils as well.
i head that if you get a really small brush from the make up area you can draw with taht but it has to be really small and hard to, to work hope that helps =)

They have kits that work awesome!

Try Sally Beauty, that's where I got mine and it was like $9.

Would you get a fish pedicure?

    Check this out:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/fish_pedicures;_ylt=AoJ06cchZVa3XNeBDvb1V3ZsaMYAWould you get a fish pedicure?
sure sounds pretty cool.Would you get a fish pedicure?
I probably wouldn't on my own, but if someone treated me to it, for sure!

Fish don't scare me at all and it would be really fun to talk about when people ask, ';So, what did you do this weekend?'; Cuz you could answer, ';Got a fish pedicure. It feels really cool when fish eat the dead skin off your feet,'; and they'd be like, ';Wait wtf? Start over...'; :)
Sounds inhumane. He obviously doesn't feed them and they only live off of dead skin. Such a shame.

I wish somebody would tell him that 50 bucks for half an hour is a complete rip. Those damn Asian salons are famous for that crap.
    I would try it!

it would be something new and interesting!

and you could add it to your list of cool things youve done!

And how often do you hear about people getting fish eating part of your feet?

    (:
Oh my god yes! I might move there just to get it done! What an awesome idea the feeling of fish sucking on you is the best! awesome. thanks for the site.
i feel horrible for the fish! i mean omg imagine u were a fish and u lived off dead skin! YUCK! no living vreature deserves that!
    sure ;)

    it sounds interesting enough
    n o no no
OMG NO WAY. fish creep me out!

Do BOYS get MANICURE & PEDICURE ? Suggestion PLEASE ?

I'm curios to know if boys get manicure %26amp; pedicure. I'm sure that some do and I think it's a good thing to take care of hands and feet. I'm a boy and I was thinking about going to get both. What do you think ? Other suggestion ? I need opinions. Thanks !Do BOYS get MANICURE %26amp; PEDICURE ? Suggestion PLEASE ?
Yes, I see guys all the time where I get my nails done. It feels nice to have a pedicure and besides, women like a man without gunky, icky toenails. The manicure might be a little much if you get them often, but every once in a while definitely treat yourself to the full mani/pedi experience.

You might want to take care of the mani yourself, most of the time or between trips to the salon, by using a nail file (or pocket knife, carefully) to clean under the nails, and buffing with a 4-sided buffer like this - http://www.amazon.com/SEACRET-DEAD-NAIL-鈥?/a>

Actually, I highly recommend the cuticle oil pictured, as well. It really helps soften cuticles, but it's absorbed really quickly so your fingers aren't greasy for an hour afterward.Do BOYS get MANICURE %26amp; PEDICURE ? Suggestion PLEASE ?
Of cousre you should.! Some guys have dirty fingernails and they don't care. It';s better to be clean then dirty. Many girls like that guys are clean. My father used to get them. Not anymore know that he has gotten older. You should get both! :) It is not gay!
take it from a girl--absolutely get the pedicure. Manicures are good, too, but the pedicure is #1.
    ...kind of gay

    When you get a pedicure/manicure..?

Do you remove the nail polish that you have on, or do you let them remove it at the salon? When you get a pedicure/manicure..?
they remove it at the salon

For feet, try Dr. Scholl's Cracked Skin Repair.
    Ponds Cream.
I use one of those foot files. After I shower, when my feet are good and dry, I file the heels real good, or any other rough spots. Then I put a real good lotion on them. Sometimes when they are real dry I will put that Vitamin A %26amp; E Ointment on them. You will have to slip some socks on to keep it on your feet, Makes feet feel wonderful.
Try the Foot Works product line from avon.Thay have a line of foot products for everyneed.Check these items and more on my website.

I like to exfoliate once a week to remove dead skin %26amp; roughness. After each shower, while still wet, I put on baby oil %26amp; let it absorb into my skin for about 5 minutes %26amp; then I pat dry. For your feet I suggest you use a pumice stone %26amp; after the shower apply lotion. My favorite is Curel (oatmeal %26amp; honey with shea butter) Don't ever walk around barefoot %26amp; whenever possible wear sneakers with socks. If you do this on a regular basis, I guarantee results!
try scrubbing them with a pomus stone everytime you shower that way you remove the dry dead skin cells off the heel of your foot

Have you had a pedicure and how did it make you feel?

Iam a male beautician and an expert in giving pedicure to women.

Everyone has loved my pedicure and they keep coming back again and again.

Even my mail id has this thing in it!!!!

If you r in Bangalore any time, mail me to the above id and I will be too happy to give you a free pedicure and foot massage which will make you feel divine and you will feel the pedicure is just out of the world.....Have you had a pedicure and how did it make you feel?
my wife bougt me one before we went on vacation. it was awsome. Where else do you have some one massage your feet for an hour. They soaked them and then buffed all the dead skin off. Finnished with a wax dip. all the skin on my feet was soft and smooth.Have you had a pedicure and how did it make you feel?
I was treated to one for my 13th birthday. It's very luxurious and relaxing, although the jets blowing on the soles of your feet do tickle sometimes. ^_^
OMG! Pedicures are the best. They feel great on your feet, and are really relaxing. My toes look so much better done by a professional. Definetely get one if you haven't before.
I've had many pedicures and I love them. I would highly recommend them. Pedicures are very relaxing; it's nice to get off your feet and have someone else pamper you for a change. I've received compliments from men when my feet are well taken care of. That's another plus to pedicures!
    Totally relaxed and gorgeous.
Pedicures are great! Your toes just look so beautiful at the end of it.

I do think it is a little odd having someone rub on your feet and stuff (that your not in a relationship with) but the end result is fabulous!!
yes i have had one...and it tickles a lot if your ticklish on your feet, but it makes you feel calm and relaxed...if you go to a good salon though, they're not cheap!

Women, what do you think about male getting pedicures and manicures?

I am a prominent male buisness owner and i get pedicures and manicures before important meetings, no paint of course, and I was wondering how women feel about men getting pedicures and manicures, because I've gotten a few stares in the spas.Women, what do you think about male getting pedicures and manicures?
No problem at all... In fact, men who are unkempt with dirty or long or sharp finger/toenails that scratch are a real turn off!!! Also, if I owned a spa or manicure/pedicure business, I would think you were the best thing since sliced bread.

Perhaps women are staring at you because you are gawjus?!Women, what do you think about male getting pedicures and manicures?
    weard
I love when a man has clean nails on his hands and feet. My husband is a landscaper, but he gets manicures and pedicures regularly, so he's got the smoothest hands. Without them, his nails would be a wreck!
As long as theres no finger nail polish then i think its fine, nothing wrong with a man wanting to look his best!
it's hygienic to have a pedicure and manicure
soo sexy. i always wished i woould meet a guy in a nail place.
I have nothing but respect for a man who takes care of his appearance. You have to be careful not to come off looking over-groomed, though. I don't want a guy that's prettier than me.
There's nothing wrong with it. Raggedy nails, toe nails and cuticles are not cute.
i think its fine unless there is polish involved and also i think it is a turn off when guys have dirty nails
This is completely cool.... women somehow go for the guys that take care of themselves more than the ones that don't.
    LOL

Well, sounds ok to me. As long as your not getting polish or French tips. And as long as they are not like really long.

There's nothing wrong with wanting to keep your nails in tip top shape. Some guys have nasty nails, and it's kinda gross when they touch you and you can see they like bite them. Yick.
I think it is a good idea, more men should do it!
I think it's great! It must take a lot of guts for a straight man to walk into a salon or spa! In this society we stereotype and make judgments before we think about the situation. It just goes to show that you really take good care of your hygiene...I wish my man would get a facial! Kudos to you for taking in consideration that you are working in a professional atmosphere and present a very neat and clean appearance!
ummmm.....yah not so sure about that one buddy!! i guess its fine as long as its no acrilques or color.. yah i guess its fine
    Good for you!
I don't know why, but for some reason it impresses me.
I think its great that you take care of your appearance and have the money to go and get manicures and pedicures. Some women at the spa might have been wondering if you were gay but who cares--just smile at them and forget it.
I think its great...I've been trying to get my boyfriend to go with me!
I think its a very great idea. You see to many men with black

in their nails its not very appealing, especially when holding

hands. I can understand the job side of it to for some men.

They work with there hands in some pretty awful stuff and

its hard for them to get all that grease etc. out of there nails.

But hands and feet should always be clean no matter what.
i think its a nice idea, especially if you work in a job where people look at your hands
there's nothing wrong with a man with soft, smooth hand's. to thank his lady customers and i guess guys. so YES i think it is OK for a man.
Getting them to look good and impress and not look like a dirty scroungy scrub? It's all good. I have tried to take my mechanic boyfriend in to get some work done (as a joke.. he's not the type of man to do it..) and he just growls at me! HAHA!

Good for you for making an effort.. as long as you aren't totally self centered and vain it doesn't matter.
    Self-maintenance is NOT gender specific.

    LET THEM STARE!
You know the importance of looking good for your business. I think that as long as a person does not spend too many hours in a day on their appearance that they should go for it. Why should women be the only ones to enjoy the spa?

    Well groomed hands are SEXY!
There is definetly nothing wrong with a male wanting to get a manicure or pedicure. It just goes to show that you care about your body and how you present yourself. Plus pedicures do wonders of tired weary feet. Don't worry about the stares that you get at the spa. They are just jeolous that their husbands/boyfreinds don't care about it as much as you do! ~Good luck!! ~Bon

Sure. My woman does my feet for me.

Is there anything wrong in guy getting facial , pedicure and manicure?

i am normal 24 straight guy, is it ok for guys to get these things doneIs there anything wrong in guy getting facial , pedicure and manicure?
Yeah, it is ok to enjoy being pampered and having someone massage your hands and feet. it would be nice if more guys were confident enough to enjoy lifes little pleasures.

DO IT BABY!Is there anything wrong in guy getting facial , pedicure and manicure?
    ugh... you gotta ask???
don't do it(man?)! If you do you will surely turn to the gay side. But by asking the question you already signify that you have.
absolutely NOTHING wrong! until you want to pamper yourself, do all that pleases you... but make sure it doesnt bother anyone else
Sure, I don't get why you'd want too, but if you do, you do.

    Each to their own.
    hey its cool

n necessary gals look first impression no matter how much black u r from inside u'd look well healed
Facial, yeah if you got major acne problems, fix that.

    The others? Hell no.
    Its absolutely fine.
It's... fine... a little iffy, but hey, many guys do this.

But pedicure and manicures? That's pushing it a bit... but I guess it just means that you take care of your nails, so... at least you have good hygiene?
Facial ok, the rest is no! too girly!
Yes ! that's what they do at mens' parlor - besides haircut, shave and massage

    Very much regular
    NO.
It's a little bit too dainty for my taste, but if you like it, cool. There are a few women who like going to the spa with their boyfriends/husbands. Don't quite on fear of being judged.
too right just proves that you like too look after yourself i know i like to look after myself with these things plus i enjoy a back massage aswell and am straight so dont warry enjoy live life to the max andenjoy

I know some guys who do this and I don't think it's very manly....but, would you and if so, why?Guys - would you ever get a manicure or pedicure?

For example if you do landscaping, auto repair or construction I don't think so...

Tipping for a pedicure / manicure?

At a salon, do you tip the girl who did the work, or do you tip when you pay at the front desk?Tipping for a pedicure / manicure?
Always hand the tip directly to the person who provides your service. S/he can then decide how/if they want to divvy it up.Tipping for a pedicure / manicure?
You would tip the girl who did your work.
I hardly carry cash, so I have to add the tip to the bill.
The girl who did the work. You can just go up to her/him and hand them the tip/cash. Sometimes (depending on where you go) they will ask you what you would like to tip and add it to the charge.
Tip the girl who did your nails.
Yes, tip whoever did the work. That way, you know that it's going to the correct person.

I got a pedicure, how long will it last?

They will stay looking good for at least two weeks and okay looking for about a month. I get my toes done once a month.I got a pedicure, how long will it last?
Until .................. your nails grow out.I got a pedicure, how long will it last?
depends on what kind of footwear you have.
about 2 weeks, depending on how much you walk around barefoot and how you take care of your feet.
Usually one week. You could extend it to two if you re-apply top coat frequently to keep the nail polish from chipping.
as long as you don't scrape your toes on the sidewalk it'll last a good time
idk im not a foot doctor

    Saving $ on a Pedicure?

any good ideas for a home pedicure? best ways to keep feet soft and skin smooth? i know how to paint my toes just fine, but like my regular lotions dont seem keep my feet soft and smooth throughout the day, so any product refereals? or homemade foot soaks?Saving $ on a Pedicure?
if you have a footbath or a large bowl you can eaily do this yourself. fill it with half a cup of baking soda(or milk, both act as exfoliants and make your skin so soft), one tea bag (black, white or green contain tannic acid which will soak up any odours and dirt) and sea salt (to detoxify). adding essential oils if you have them is also beneficial. (rosemary, lavender, peppermint all increase circulation -making your feet smoother and moist) soak them for about 10min, then if you have a pumice stone/foot filer gently rub all over your feet concentrating on rough areas. soak your feet again for a few moments. and after you dry them off moisturize with an oil. (you're skin is made up of oil, not 'cream' or lotion' so use oil. olive oil is great, as if avocado, coconut, almond etc..) then seal all that in with socks.Saving $ on a Pedicure?
Get the new Ped Egg from as seen on tv or bed bath and beyond...you remove old skin, then use your lotion to keep them smooth.
ur feet must b really crusty if lotion dont take the ash away!!!

What does it feel like to have a pedicure?

i have dry horrible feet and am thinking of getting oneWhat does it feel like to have a pedicure?
Sooooo good. If you get an inexperienced or careless technician it may not be the best. I don't like going to Nail Salons because they usually treat you like a fast food customer, but a privately owned salon will take more pride in their work and treat you like a queen. Make sure the salon has a pedicure chair so you can get the full experience, sitting in a desk chair isn't nearly as satisfying as sitting in a warming-massage chair. Enjoy! What does it feel like to have a pedicure?
    - Well depending on where you go It can range from just painfully to excruciating. If that is what you are into then Go for it.

    GOOD LUCK
ITS THE BEST! AND I HAVE TO DISAGREE WITH THE PERSON HERE THAT SAYS THAT THE MASSAGE WITH LOTION IS AWKWARD.... FOR ME ITS THE BEST PART! THEY DO IT REALLY GOOD. ITS A GREAT WAY TO GET PAMPERED, PLUS IT LEAVES YOU WITH CUTE FEET LOL
Pedicures feel really good. After you try it, you'll be hooked. The pedicurist uses a pumice stone (it's not really a stone - they just call it that) to scrub away the dead skin and it's not my favorite part of the pedicure but it's not torture. Then he or she massages your feet and legs and it's heaven. They also cut your toe nails and paint them if you want them to.
When I was at college, I saved up some money and went for one.

Afterwards I felt GREAT. It was like walking on air.
It feels nice, especially when they let you sit in a chair while your feet are soaking in a foot bath.

The part where the pedicurist massages lotion into your feet and calves is kind of awkward, though. : (

Still, I would definately recommend a pedicure.

The ped egg is good, but ur wearing sandals to church? My father wouldn't have it. lolGot a pedicure, feet are smooth but I still notice small cracks on feet...white cracks...any serious home reme
Try any general moisturizer and apply a lot to all over your feet after washing and scrubbing (maybe a pumice stone?) then put socks over your moisturized feet , then go to bed and take the socks off in the morning.
It takes a while for these to go away. Keep getting pedis and applying lotion and they will eventually go away as your skin wears off.
Get a pummice stone and scrub away at the crack and a really good foot lotion to heal them :)

  • Home Manicure/Pedicure tips??

Try Sally Beauty, that's where I got mine and it was like $9.

look at your local phone book.. There are plenty of nail salons in IL..

Ladies, how often do you get a pedicure?

And do you feel more comfortable with a man or a woman doing your feet?Ladies, how often do you get a pedicure?
OK now........what's with all the feet questions?!

Someone have a little fetish do we?

I do my own pedicures, about once a week or 2 in the summer, much less in the colder months.

If I was going to get one done I don't think I would much care if it was a female or male for a few reasons.

    1. my main concern is that they are good and aren't going to hurt me.

    2. If it's a man working in a salon doing pedicures there is a real big chance he is gay. Either way I would have a more fem person

so I go back to #1 I just want it to be worth the money, feel good, and not hurt.Ladies, how often do you get a pedicure?
    Monthly.

At the pedicurist's I prefer to have a woman do it. But any other time I'd prefer to have a man touch my feet.
About once every 3-4 months. I take care of my feet daily with cuticle oils and lotions.

I don't mind who works on my feet so long as they do a good job.
    every 2 weeks, women
    i like manicures more

i feel more comfortable w/ a woman doing it
every two if i have the $20....or if hubby has the twenty!!! and jenny does my toes, i can never understand her, but man, she's good!!!

    2. Soak your hands and/or feet in warm water for 5 minutes. It will soften your skin and nails.

3.While your skin is damp, use a pumice stone or scrub to get rid of rough skin.

Tips [edit]You can do this anywhere! At your friends house, etc.

You don't have to do this with both a manicure and pedicure. One or both is okay.

People WILL complement you if you put them in attention

Even quick-dry polish takes at least 15 minutes to dry. So, dunk your nails into a bowl or sink of cold water, it will set it quicker. (good if in a hurry)
